I feel the batt performance improved, the face unlock feature is good but I disabled the raise to wake as it is waking up too much unnecessarily

135 seem to be a bit more draining for my battery usage as well, as compared to 132.

Disabled raise to wake since it was getting a bit annoying.

M10 non Pro.

But still good because of the huge battery but the overnight drain seem to be higher now.

I didn't like the raise to wake feature on the iPhone, so I doubt I will miss it on Android.

As for the battery, I think at least the battery is big enough to keep up. Overnight no issues for me cause I will let it auto shutdown.

how do you get "OK Google" or "Hey Google" to work on the phone? Any idea where is the setting that I need to enable it? I was previously running on 8.0.0.132 (ALP-L29C636B132) and it worked when I first setup the phone.

When I updated it to build 135, it stopped working. I reset my phone and gone thru the steps of the initial setup however, the phone is still not responding when i say "Ok Google" or "Hey Google".

Liking the face unlock and raise to wake. It's perfect with my cover case. No need to use fingerprint anymore to unlock the screen when I open the cover.

No issues with installation on my Mate 10 Pro. Which firmware version are you on? Mine was running on version 132 when I installed it. Uninstalled it more than a month or 2 back as I don't use it anymore.

Huawei Announces Devices Getting GPU Turbo, Mate 10 To Get 960fps Slow Motion Too

CES Asia kicked off today and the big names in the Chinese mobile industry are in attendance. Huawei had a conference today and it announced some new features coming to its devices including the newly announced GPU Turbo.

The Huawei Mate 10 series will be the first to receive the GPU Turbo update. Huawei’s GPU Turbo increases the processing power of the GPU by up to 60% while reducing power consumption by 30%. The new feature was announced last week and comes with the Honor Play smartphone.

Since most of Huawei’s devices use in-house chipsets, they have found a way to push the feature to its other phones via a software update. The update will arrive on the Mate 10 by the end of this month.

Huawei also announced other devices getting the feature and the time frame. Below are the supported devices and when they will get the update:

June – Mate 10, Honor V10
July – P20 Series, Mate RS Porsche Design, Nova 2s, Honor 10, MediaPad M5
August – Nova 3e, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 7S, Maimang 6, Honor 9 Lite, Honor Play 7X
September – Mate 9 Series
October – P10 Series, Honor 9, Honor V9
November – Other Huawei devices not mentioned above
Huawei also announced some new features coming to the Mate 10. First, the Mate 10 series will support cloud computing starting June 26. It will then receive the EMUI 8.1 update in mid-July which will bring 960fps slow-motion recording.

Not sure if anyone seen how this GPU Turbo feature works though. I am kind of skeptical on how their claims. Unlike CPU where it turbos to a high clockspeed to complete a task faster in order to go back to idle, GPU can't really benefit from supposed Turbo when you are gaming. Gaming usually keeps the GPU working all the time for as long as you are gaming. Boosting clockspeed means higher frame rates, but at the expense of battery life. So I actually don't see how it can boost frame rate and battery life at the same time.

Actually it works on optimizing messy open os like android, by improving android 's efficiency. So it's not working on hardware directly, but rather enhance the interface between hardware & software os.

Some bench test results show a unturboed kirin 970's gpu score only is on par with SD 835, but after gpu turbo charge, the gpu performance is on par with the SD 845
