before I bought it I read they using OLED panels from BOC. didn't expect the burn in/retention to be so fast. not even passed the first year lol

Another reason I didn't get Mate 10 Pro instead went for Mate 10. They're using LG panel if not wrong.

My original Pixel had burn in at the navigation bar after 1 year even though its by Samsung. Rarely used my phone above 30% brightness. Pixel 2 XL had burn in within 2 weeks so I wouldn't be surprised there's burn in with ur Mate 10 Pro. Seems like LG's OLED panel still has a long way to go.

My old s7 Edge only started having very slight burn in at the top notification bar after 2 years of usage..

will mate 10 aka LCD panel experience burn in?

By right Mate 10 wouldn't have any burn in since its using LCD, but my G4 has burn in even though its using LCD as well so I wouldn't say Mate 10 is immune to burn in. It's more likely happen to happen on OLED panel.

OLED for Mate 10 Pro is supplied by BOE, a Chinese panel maker. Quality wise, it is better than LG's PLED. Quality wise, it is probably in between Samsung and LG.

Burn in is expected for OLED screen. The more screen on time you have, the faster it will develop.
