Anyone got a new update today? The version number is still .146 but I got an update today that said improvements to NFC or something

Guys, any one here use both mate 20 pro and pixel 3?
which do you prefer?
After one week of considering, i still do not know what phone i should get==

I like Pixel's front wide angle camera (for group selfie),
amazing camera software, side button(squeeze) and loud sound but i hate the notch, no external storage and Lowest ram among all the flagship phones.__

I like mate's rear wide angle lens, tons of camera function (manual setting, long exposure, silky water, etc) and smaller notch (i hate notch but since most companies all using notch, i only can LLST. i didnt choose X because it is too big and mate 20's lens is not as good as PRO)
I hate curve screen and softer volume comparing with pixel.

Today i went down to telco to try out pixel 3 and mate 20
Pixel 3 has some lagging issues; Slow loading of camera app and some intermittent lag.(I believe their software is not the latest version since nightshot is still not there)
Mate 20 pro's front camera portrait mode doesnt not blur the background (hope this is just a bug)

Buying a phone is hard:s22:

Definitely mate 20, the speakers are not as soft as you say, it has a pretty good stereo speaker. Would u rather good hardware + software, or just good software. If u want the former, go with mate 20, else go with google. Google's notch is just way too ugly, and if u want a phone that lasts u for a while, the 4gb ram just wont last

Mate 20. 980 > 845. And you get a larger display and screen to body ratio. For me, everything is about specs so pixel 3 is definitely out of consideration. And u get a free 3.5mm jack which is rare nowadays.

Maybe it is not that soft but when i was at the telco, with lots of noises around, i cant really hear the sound from youtube but on pixel, i can hear it loud and clear.

That is one of the reason why i am having dilemma.
Mate 20 pro is packed with good hardware and software while pixel is only packed with average hardware but still able to be the best camera phone for 2018 as their software for their camera is really powerful.

Google notch and their 4GB ram is really a killer for me.


Anyway for mate 20, do you guys have any problem with the front portrait photos?
I took photos with the front camera portrait mode but it doest blur the background. it only blurs the background with rear camera portrait mode.

Oh if you tried out the speaker at the telco, it was plugged in to charge right? Coz the thing about mate 20 is that the bottom speaker is actually coming out of the usb c port. I know a lot of reviewers are bashing it because if it's plugged in, it's muffled and a lot softed, but look at it this way. Mate 20 has such a huge battery, fastest charging and wireless charging, you'll practically never end up having to play music on speakers and charge for a long period of time. What's more, their positioning is quite ingenius such that now the stereo speakers are actually stereo and aligned. Like other phones where the speaker is either on the left OR right of the charging port, the sound doesnt come out aligned, it's shifted and can be annoying
