Just checking, anyone's having the LG screen on their m20pro but not having the green light issue till date?

Hi guys. Can I know what camera resolution you guys use or what's the best? Last time I could zoom out and wide screen all but now when I choose the best reso ie 40MP it says zoom is not supported. Then lower than that is 10MP.

Also.. How do u all add the watermark at bottom of pic that says "Huawei mate 20 Pro Leica lens"

After one week of considering, i still do not know what phone i should get==

I like Pixel's front wide angle camera (for group selfie),
amazing camera software, side button(squeeze) and loud sound but i hate the notch, no external storage and Lowest ram among all the flagship phones.__

I like mate's rear wide angle lens, tons of camera function (manual setting, long exposure, silky water, etc) and smaller notch (i hate notch but since most companies all using notch, i only can LLST. i didnt choose X because it is too big and mate 20's lens is not as good as PRO)
I hate curve screen and softer volume comparing with pixel.

Today i went down to telco to try out pixel 3 and mate 20
Pixel 3 has some lagging issues; Slow loading of camera app and some intermittent lag.(I believe their software is not the latest version since nightshot is still not there)
Mate 20 pro's front camera portrait mode doesnt not blur the background (hope this is just a bug)

Buying a phone is hard

Why not get Sony XZ2 Premium which has no notch? Camera performance is on par with the phones you mentioned.

While there are definitely many cases of green tint, and I do think it's an issue,

I suspect the percentage of those without green tint should still be higher than the percentage with green tint.

Anyway, the 2 M20P phones in my house is showing no signs of green tint after using more than a month. Both are LG screen.

Actually a higher percentage of people has no issues, just that you dont hear them complaining haha, so if its good, then theres no need to worry

U cant zoom at 40mp, the zoom is only offered for 10mp because it uses telephoto lens, otherwise it can only do digital zoom, so u might as well take the picture and crop it urself afterwards. Also watermark is in the camera settings

was initially skeptical on the display issues glad I won the gamble ended getting the boe screen.

JUst got another set of Mate 20 Pro for my wife. Bought from the Sprint-Cass in Changi (transit area; since I do fly quite frequently), comes with the wireless charger and its 1259 SGD, which is quite good

Speaking of which, if you fly to other countries, you may get better deal for Mate 20 pro as I saw it in Huawei yangon shop selling 10 SGD cheaper (around 1330 SGD after conversion), with the following free gifts:

1. Wireless charger
2. Huawei Band
3. 128GB nano-SD card with reader....

Wow nice i always thought that 845 is better than 980.

Oh if you tried out the speaker at the telco, it was plugged in to charge right? Coz the thing about mate 20 is that the bottom speaker is actually coming out of the usb c port. I know a lot of reviewers are bashing it because if it's plugged in, it's muffled and a lot softed, but look at it this way. Mate 20 has such a huge battery, fastest charging and wireless charging, you'll practically never end up having to play music on speakers and charge for a long period of time. What's more, their positioning is quite ingenius such that now the stereo speakers are actually stereo and aligned. Like other phones where the speaker is either on the left OR right of the charging port, the sound doesnt come out aligned, it's shifted and can be annoying

im really not a fan of sony's phones.
i just unable to appreciate their design and software.

Google camera is currently ported to a few HW phones.

I dont think there is any need to port Google camera over since mate 20 produce good photos as well.
Porting over does allow you to try out Gcam but the processing is slower than pixel and most of the port over gcam are buggy.
Currently im using redmi note 5, with Gcam ported over, sometimes the HDR processing can take up to 30 secs for 1 photo.




Anyway, does any of you root your phone?
Is there any alternative way to unlock your bootloader?
I find it stupid to pay additional fees to get the code to unlock bootloader.

Huawei Nano SD Card

Hi! would like to know if anyone has issues trying to get their computer to read their Huawei Nano SD Card.

I hooked it up with my computer using the free dongle they gave but my computer doesn't recognize the Nano SD, can't see it showing anywhere on my computer. =(

Please share if you have know anything about this!

Sorry I know this has been asked.. but where's a good place in the west for m20 pro TGSP? ****ing huawei jurong point did such a bad job the fingerprint is not usable, they offered a replacement..

There's much cheaper options locally, also beware other countries might have different versions, if they're selling china versions which are cheaper, they dont include google services at all because it's banned there. They also have different reception bands so ur calls might not work as well here.

kirin 980 is 7nm chip, more efficient and much faster
30 mins charging can give up to 70% battery, that's more than enough for 1 full day, or even 2 if u are a lighter user
Gcam isnt good for mate 20, why use only 1 camera when u can use all 3? Esp when their software isnt optimised for mate 20

10mp is more than enough. 4K photos are like only 8.3MPm the 40MP is for downscaling and retain more details

Red White mobile was good. But now the type of SP is different and I read some complaints about it. but the way they apply it is very good.

Maybe Xgear at waterway point? Mobile Hardware I also saw, but no experience

Dont trust the Huawei stores. I applied at 313. At home I realised the SP one side has mucb more space, while the other side is way too close to ny UAG case. The SP pops up. I also saw some glue at the bottom, close to the charging port.
