this review just KO-ed my interest left of the phone... but thanks much for sharing.

"This new in-screen fingerprint scanner is an optical one, rather than the ultrasonic one that Qualcomm is developing. And you can see how the screen of the phone lights up for a second when you tap your finger against it, so that the phone can get a proper, bright scan of the finger...

How does it work? Mostly well, but… it is not quite perfect. We have gotten used to traditional fingerprint scanners that are lightning quick, where you just tap your finger on the fingerprint area and the phone unlocks instantly. In the case of the Mate 20 Pro there are two things that get in the way: the first one is the fact that there is no physical boundary that would give a tactile indication of where the fingerprint scanner lies, so you need to look down at your phone to nail the exact position where your finger needs to be every time; the second thing is the actual force required to get a proper finger scan, as you need to press a lot firmer and longer than the gentle tap required from a traditional fingerprint reader. If you don’t press as hard, the phone will not unlock and you would need to try again.
"

I shall wait for p30 pro that hopefully comes with ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint. hopefully the weight can go down also and best if they can improve the camera to optical 5x :D

dun think is a problem bcoz usually is look at fingerprint then unlock
seldom unlock without looking at it
slow i think yes compare to those physical fingerprint button but
give & take it is in screen so mai hiam then ok

Don’t know why buying telco sets also need to go CWP and queue on a 1st come 1st served basis. That doesn’t sound very logical unless Huawei set aside enough freebies for the telco buyers

When you hold and unlock your phone for x times a day.about 100 times a day.

After sometimes u will get used to the position of the finger print and pressure already

that's true also, only thing is the scanner is a bit higher up than ideal..so might need to shuffle the phone a bit to stretch the thumb if you're holding the bottom of the phone.. maybe it's to avoid clashing with keyboards?

If you not that particular about sound.. a Bluetooth wireless earphone will be suitable for you.

E.g creative outlier one - sgd39

Sent from Nokia 8250 using GAGT

Problem is wireless earphones or headsets require charging every day or every 2nd day. Very troublesome.

Depends on usage and battery capacity I guess. Like the AKG Samsung gives when you buy Note8 has a battery rating of up to 24hrs. Me using it during commute only, can last for 3 or 4 days before needing to charge. The smaller type of BT earphone, lasts me 2 to 3 days before needing to charge. I had this concern also because the older Bluetooth headsets (2010-2012) I used couldn't last more than a few hours. Tech has advanced I guess and I din't notice till now.

20X is the one worth buying :o
I think they know that. Hence they want to sell the inferior ones first. :D

They could've made a 2 sided game pad. One on left and one on right but they've only done a half job. Must well don't do. :s13:
