If any users wants to check which OLED display (BOE or LG) your Mate20 Pro is using, can download this Device Info HW app from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.andr7e.deviceinfohw&hl=en

BOE:

LG:

Is it 8GB use OBE while 6GB use LG?

There's two types of in-display fingerprint sensor, one is optical and another is ultrasound.

Optical in-display fingerprint is the more common solution for phones now, and the Mate 20 Pro uses such technology.
Whereas for ultrasound in-display fingerprint, it is an even advanced technology where it can recognise even when the finger is wet or stained. Currently there's no phones in the market using such technology, though the Galaxy S10 series may be the first to launch it.

Optical is a cheaper solution as compared to ultrasound, that's why optical is still more preferred by phone makers.

That's hard to say, because Huawei may mix both BOE and LG display panels together in different batches, irregardless of 6GB or 8GB RAM.

I'm pretty sure mate 20 pro uses ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. If optical, any medium in between the sensor and finger should distort the image? Personally, I'm also confused and haven't found a reliable source that confirms it. Check this vid

can I check if the face recognition tech is the same for both the pro and non pro ?

Of cos not, otherwise why would the pro have a bigger notch if it’s the same?

The pro has sensors that enables 3D face unlock.

Playstore have a few emui theme apps. Can change icons and fonts etc.

There’s already an option in setting to enable app drawer if u want?

I'm also a little confused, but all that info I got from Weibo. The tech bloggers there mentioned that the phones now that comes with in-display fingerprint uses optical(光学屏幕指纹), and the Galaxy S10 series will be the first to use ultrasound(超声波屏幕指纹).
