Sorry to OT.
Unless you are a gamer/on GPS mode/streaming video every time, I can't see why each % can only tahan 5mins of SOT.

I came across such thing as SOT 5 years back.

I'm OCD in battery, so I'd try possible ways to maximize battery life.
Have came across phones with very good standby overnight but sucks in SOT.
Likewise with phones with very good SOT but sucks in standby.
Phones excel in both aspects are rare though.

My expectation is "no 16hrs SOT no last 2 days no talk" = 10m SOT every %.

If u're a true battery OCD person, you would get a phone that can root and a phone that has a lot of dev support, because root, custom roms and especially kernels can improve SOT and standby time quite a bit especially if you don't do CPU intensive stuff.

Despite I never logged in Google, Google play services is running in the background. I solely relied on Dropbox and apk.

how do u use an android phone without logging into Google? then how u download stuff from the playstore?

u're missing out on a lot man, why not log in but turn off sync, Google Play Services is running in the background anyway..not like u're saving more batt...

So anyone using the Mate 20 rather than Mate 20 pro?

For some weird reason, I actually find the Mate 20 nicer than the Pro?

Alternatively you can change the navigation button at the bottom if you are showing it. There is quick button to auto pull down the notification.

You can even change the button position of it.

Go to setting>system >system navigation > 3 key navigation

Or he could simply pull down from sides rather than center of the top screen?

Me. In fact my wife went for the Pro while I went for the regular Mate as I'm not a fan of curved screen but one thing I noticed is the ultra wide angle on the Mate 20 Pro has better distortion control than the regular Mate 20 and generally the photos came out more detailed and sharper on the Pro. Now tempted to switch to the Pro just for the camera difference.

Yes I am holding a rooted max 3 anyway which can hit average 20hrs. Ever hit 25hrs SOT on a rooted max 2.
The reason why I got M20 is I was skeptical on its battery longevity as well as its 7NM chipset.
All these despite I knew that bootloader of huawei phones nowadays can't be unlocked.

Fact is that most peeps are relying on Google, for syncing contacts and stuffs.
I don't know what I am missing out. I can get updated apps online despite it is not safe, but so far so good.
Can backup my files via Dropbox or other cloud services.
Google play services auto stop upon phone is left on standby. So it is not really running in the background, maybe due to the settings.

hmm my stock pocophone already hit 20 hrs SOT (according to the MIUI batt stats, not Accubattery), so i though tthe Mi Max 2 would last much, much more?

ya, it's the sync that's good, using chrome on laptop, can sync with chrome on phone, save your contacts across multiple devices, google photos sync, google maps saving your impt locations, google rewards giving you free money etc

Got ever hit 27/8hrs. That equates to 17m/%.
Anyway f1 is using 845 while m2 is on 625.
