Anyone here considering Samsung's new phone? I'm getting a new phone in a couple of days and stuck between the S10+ and Mate 20 Pro.

Samsung better.. the programming for Huawei still not as good as Samsung

Samsung sg using exynos, compare to some country using snapdragon. It's clear choice not to buy samsung here !!!

Value for money will be huawei considering mate 20 pro is about 930 to 950 brand new for 128gb 6gb with free wireless charger compared to samsung s10+ at 1150 to 1200 for 128gb 8gb if u get from carousell or 1398 if u get from SES.

I am using mate 20 pro now and will be switching to s10+ later. Will feedback how is it

From past experience, software wise samsung still has the upper hand but huawei has advanced quite a bit fron my experience using m20p. But i still feel it is lacking of something... Overall software theme not really suit the "flagship" phone. But compared to mate 8,9 and 10 pro, it improve quite a bit but still not there yet. I can still feel some random lags and stutters on my m20p sometimes

Alot are raving on the subpar exynos 9820 in singapore, but this is the only variant we will get in singaoore unless u are willing to get export set. Camera from what i tested is on par with m20p slightly ahead in night shots.

Samsung comes with ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Which is more secure then huawei optical sensor, however so far from what i see, only whitestone dome glass can be used on it, which will set u back another 100 dollars (including a third party case). I have tested quite a few tempered glass on my m20p and found the best fit to be a 30 dollars mocoli which i got from mobilesquare.

To conclude, one have to see what u prefer in terms of software and features as i feel hardware wise is about similar.

Example.. when you adjust the brightness level & turn off the auto adjust, then you restart the mate 20 pro, the auto adjust will automatically turn on..

while samsung when you adjust your brightness and turn off the auto adjust, then restart the samsung device, the settings is still there

I believe huawei keep it in this way to optimise battery performance. However their auto brightness is best auto brightness implementation is apple

not forgetting the risk u take allowing a communist country to steal ur data/credentials which result in most european countries already ban them. i'd go for samsung for security and privacy concerns.

The stupid auto brightness bug has been there since Mate 10 days. Super annoying especially when I restart my phone every other day.

To free up ram that were used by apps that I've closed. It also fixes some app crashes(especially DBS Lifestyle). At 1st was once a week but I felt a little micro stutter when opening some app and stuff(the animation when u open an app is not instant and there's a 0.5s delay before the animation start) so now I'm restarting it every other day.

I also thinking of reporting my Toggle issue to them too... since only their phone got issue and after trying all Battery optimization tweaks etc... still can't solve.

I've told them via FB since Mate 10 but until even the new devices still have it so I don't even know if it's a bug or "feature".

You need to feedback to Toggle first. The rating in Play Store don't look good anyway.
