Wondering if the wifi chip used in the Huawei lineup is a little poor.

Getting 400-500mbps on my wife's note 8 and my iPhone xs max. v near the route.

My Huawei not as strong when testing. Same location, same server.

anyone able to hit 400-500 on their Huawei?

I think it's their own hisilicon. 1103.
A lot of people complained they couldn't connect to 5GHz band. I found mine prefers to connect to 2.4G band. To use 5GHz I have to manually connect.
My reference point is my master bedroom bathroom. My m20p p9plus all have v weak connections there. My other phones had no issues there. Even my daughter complained her p10 has weaker WiFi signals.

Having said that I can get 450ish up/down to M1 pt when near my router. Singtel/Starhub high 300 sometimes 400+ a bit.

But the WiFi is definitely worse off compared to my other non HW phones.

For reference s9 under same conditions can get about 500 down 600+ up w M1 pt. Singtel down low 400 but up can go 500+.

My mate 20 has a much better WiFi signal than my Pixel lol. Whenever I bring my phone to the toilet, my pixel will randomly disconnect when I'm watching YouTube but I don't have any issue on my Mate 20, able to play 1080p video.

Don't have any Pixel but did have a Nexus 6P, which I remember had good wifi (but had a stupid notorious bootloop problem, that happened when I was travelling!!!)

You can fix that yourself if that bugs you. You will have this issue I believe no matter what you use to download the songs because some of them have the song information, and any player will try to sort them according to those information.

Select all songs, right click and choose property. Under details tab, change "album" (just this one) to whatever you want. Then I think the player will sort them into 1 single album with name you have just given.

I am using windows, and not sure what's the equivalent for mac though.

Or simply just use "all songs" from google music player. Nothing is sorted.

Anyone faces issue with the colors of the screen? Don't know how to explain but when I play Cookie Jam, the colors of the game seems off when I switch to another app and switch back again. The colors seem lighter and brighter. But after a while, it seems OK again.
