Hi guys can i check are you all experiencing lag on your mate 20 Pro? Sometimes when I search for app in the search bar for example I type a those apps only appear in awhile. The whole phone feels sluggish. I am on emui 10.1.0.

just stick to the original firmware and you're guaranteed the phone won't feel lag as long as the battery can last:s12:

Mine is okay. The speed is as fast the day I bought it.

I intend to go to the Somerset service centre to change my battery so that it can last me another 1 year+. Thereafter, I will probably switch to Mate 40 Pro or P40 Pro as I don't depend so much on GMS - usually I access via Google website links.

Xiaomi flagship handphones always seem to have some issues and they are no longer cheap too.

Yes, I mixed up the Huawei numbers as my attention has now changed to Xiaomi. I'm still deciding between Huawei and Xiaomi as my next phone after this Mate 20 Pro next year.

I recall P20 Pro was launched in Mar 2018, so it is already 3 years old. Likely there is no more warranty left for the 2nd hand units and the battery would have been quite worn out. The 2021 mid-range Xiaomi and other brands should be able to meet or go beyond the specifications of P20 Pro. Remember to get global sets as China ROM may result in Google issues like Huawei later.

I did thought of p30 pro but i prefer flat screen display and im using mate 20 at the moment so choices are pretty limited.But i have to agreed with u,huawei battery life is really good

Yup totally true.xiaomi is 1 of my favourite brand too.thanks for your input bro.appreciated.

Recently, Huawei is more determined to use its own Harmony OS and Google also restricts non-Google phones from installing its services. Hence, things will just get tougher if you want Google on Huawei's phone. Xiaomi and other Chinese brands are catching up really fast in terms of specifications and unfortunately, prices too. Huawei still holds a slight advantage on camera though (e.g. 1" sensor coming).
