Mate 9 Dual Sim

Hi, can anyone check if Mate 9 can first SIM on 4G and second SIM on 3G? Or second SIM will limit to 2G only?

Normal charging, the world charging will be displayed.

Super charging will be displayed when you are using the supplied charger.

Just got my Mate 9 yesterday from Sitex.
Current Note 4 dying so did not have patience or time to source for a cheaper alternative, ie Lazada, qoo10.

Paid $898 for the set and comes with the following:-

1) Flip case
2) VR Goggle
3) Color Band - to be redeemed from Sim Lim Square Level 4
4) Extra Huawei USB C cable

Just a few questions as i am new to Huawei.

How do you know if your phone is fast charging ? Is there any notification or function that will state that it is fast charging ?

As there is no dedicated Numeric row for google keyboard, any recommendation for a alternate keyboard that works like the Note 4 keyboard ?

Folders created in homescreen are relatively small when expanded (3x3). Is there any way for me to increase the size ?

Where can i get casing and tempered glass protector in Singapore ?

Oh, thank you.
That's mean I will no longer need to stick with 2G for my second SIM.

What brand is the vr you got?

got my mate from sitex... the VR is those china made ones.. selling for 10 at sim lim

a lot of shops i asked do not carry the accessories yet. im using mine without the full cover too and im very scared i will scratch or drop it

yea yea.. i also worried.. can share where you bought your casing?? i am thinking of going down to sim lim later to go see see look look... i just need to get one "cover all" for the time being first.

at the mem and storage...
did u set default location as internal storage or SD card?

if i choose SD card, it give a warning, "Your phone has been encrypted. Please make sure your new storage location is secure before switching locations"

what does the above means?
do it means it will encrypted the sd card or what?

basically i only want to store my cam picture and video in the sd card, i do not want to be encrypted as if the phone is spoilt, i can still insert my card into a reader and retrieve all my photos and videos....

Looks more like ur phone has been encrypted and not ur sd card.

It's normal.... when you lock your phone with fingerprint and passcode... they will show encrypted.

You can try... turn off the passcode and fingerprint access .... see whether you get this message or not.

When you connect to PC, usually there is a message whether you are connecting as MTP or Camera mode.
There is change you selected the wrong one?

i got passcode.. so the mem card will not be encrypted...

tested out. remove passcode, still give this message when i select sd card.

I have a question to ask



For those using older model of wifi router, do you face compatiblity issue ?


Is your phone able to connect with the older router, yet cannot surf internet ?


If yes, please write a complain letter to Huawei consumer support email, tell them the problem

i went last fri. nothing yet. doubt it will arrive anytime soon. i ordered some from taobao over the weekend. currently using the provided case which exposes the top, bottom and sides.

Hi, how do guys wake up the phone? I tried the knuckle knock thing but doesn't work. Is it only by pressing the power button? Any advice?
