Regarding warranty check out this post at huawei's fb (and their reply to the last comment)

From my understanding it means mate 9 automatically got hicare 2 year warranty, no need registration, just keep receipt. But they contradict themselves by saying register online to enjoy the warranty at the start of the post..

The online imei warranty check shows 1 year though.

mine shows 2 years

Any folks who upgraded from p9 32gb? How's the experience?

Sent from HUAWEI EVA-L19 using GAGT

I am still using both. P9 as a work phone and mate 9 as main.

Mate 9 is seriously big. Hands and thumb can be sore. After 3 weeks, p9 feels like a kiddy phone. May be too big for my liking.

Speed mate is hands down winning.
Battery is good. Last long and charges super quick. This was one of the main reason I bought it.

Didn't take a lot of pics and too noob here to comment.

Finally jumped from my ip7+ to mate 9. So far so good and the screen is gorgeous, though it's still damn bright at lowest brightness at night.

Thanks for sharing, I'm planning to pair Mate 9 with my iphone 7. Currently using p9 for personal and iphone 7 for work. I'm also concerned about the size, fitting p9 and ip7 in my right pocket already quite a challenge now... but the specs are appealing.

Mate 9 using Android 7.0. In fact android change some of the pairing security features since version 5 onwards iirc. I believe that is the reason why note 2 can connect. This apply to all the newer phone not only Huawei that is using the latest OS

I think P9+ cannot be compared to the Mate 9 as the Mate series is HuaWei Flagship model.

Not really sure about the P9+ but the P series is supposed to build for the reason of taking good photo.

both are flagships if im not wrong, one for smaller form factor one for phablet, and if im not wrong P9+ price still higher than mate 9
