Hi can anyone help to answer these questions about mate 9?

Do you need to restart the phone when you add/remove sim?

Anyone tried using joystick for pogo? Does it work?

P10 and P10 Plus is launching in a few weeks. While I think the Mate 9 is an excellent phone by itself, perhaps you might want to consider the mentioned phones. Regardless, when those come out the Mate 9 price might drop if you still want it.

U need to see what u are looking for... Totally 2 different league. If u need big screen and long batt life, stick to mate 9. Performance shld be the same on both phones as processor is the same

it's still a great phone to buy if you're looking for one of, if not the best all rounded phablets on the market with eternal (at least in my use case) battery life with super fast charging.

Mate 9 and the P10 have different target audiences. The Mate 9 is targeted at people who are more business oriented while the P10 is targeted at casual youngsters hence the beautiful green and blue flashy colours.

There is not much of an improvement or basically none at all. The only thing noteworthy is the improvement in the front camera and EMUI 5.1 which would be coming to the Mate 9 sooner rather than later.

edit: usb 1/2 gives out 0.5amp USB 3.0 pumps out 0.9 amps

I think can do the math already but need to account for energy loss during transfer.

Thanks for info, of cos I don't expect to have fast charging when drawing power from PC/laptop.

Currently on my Nexus 6P, charging 50% took 1.5 hours, for Mate 9 with bigger battery, my expectation is 2 - 2.5 hours to charge 50%

Can consider investing in an additional supercharger and cable. The charge rate is frankly pretty amazing. Perfect for those splash and dash moments. my usage of the mate 9 for 100% can last from 9am to 8pm with no need for charging.

Thanks for the explanation! This trend seemed more noticeable on the mate 9 than the nexus 6p.
