I got my mate 9 3 months ago and i have been having issues since which im not sure if it just happens to me.

1. my whatsapp doesn't seem to be pushing notifications to me? e.g. there is no notifications on the whatsapp icon but when I opened the app, i have messages that was sent hours ago.

2. i can't seem to upload instagram videos? it keeps failing. I thought it was my connection but it is perfectly fine when i use my iphone.

3. how can i make sure that my mobile data is automatically activated when there is no wifi? Usually my phone is in airplane, i turn it off when i wake up and use the wifi. once i step out of the house, i have to manually turn on the mobile data. this is a pain especially when i'm rushing out of the house, it slips my mind and i need to check like the bus timings.

does this happen to you guys too? :( really want to like this phone

1. Check that whatsapp is allowed to wakeup the system and is NOT on the battery optimization list.
2. Check all the necessary permissions are all given to instagram, go to the application settings.
3. Leave the mobile data ON and wifi ON at the same time. In an event there is no known/saved wifi, the mobile data will take over. Go to the wifi settings and disable WiFi+, so that it wont use both wifi and mobile data at the same time.

as for 2) i can upload via wifi just not Data. i checked the application settings and all data permissions are set to allowed. :s11:

I have not received it via ota but i am currently not willing to update to it if it appears as the android security update is after march 2017...
