just got a second hand used for 4months set. i think its good value. loving the huge screen but havent had a chance to test out the camera.

only thing is no voLTE, damn i game alot and when calls come in i really appreciate being able to stick to 4G. also another thing to note this phone takes longer time to reconnect to 4G after dropping to 3G (coming out of the lift).

comparing to an S7 edge.

although finally able to escape the quirkiness of the curved edges on the sides, which irritates me on more than one occasion already. design wise S7 edge has the edge though (pun not intended).

cmon u intended the pun :p

ya i noticed it too abt the getting back to 4g one. it took v long even compared to my v20 when i was running both last time.

but these rly are a good 'long term' phone tho bc they stay fast compared to the s7e. it got to the pt where i had to reset it once about every ~3 months for it to stay smooth on nougat which was why i sold them.

Bought an used black export set last week and sold my S8 Plus. The battery life and speed is better than S8 plus. The camera is not bad too. :)

True. I didn't really notice the speed, but the battery life on the S7 edge really was worse than when I first started using. 1.5 years without a format! At idle, it downs by 3% within 5 mins, not touching the phone only aod is on.

In a sense I think Huawei learning mode would help.

i got try note 8 before passing it to dad. the mate 9 was as snappy if not snappier idk why perhaps because of the higher res screen on the note 8, and batt life was better on the mate 9.

but i rly miss the cam on the note 8. i use snapchat and insta alot being a teenager and the mate 9's photos get grainy at night bc of its low aperture i guess. miss the note 8's amazing low light performance.

but i think its a good tradeoff lol i can reach the top of the screen to pull down the status bar easier now

Seems that not advisable to update to Oreo yet.... Most apps not compatible with Oreo...

On a side note, glad that I can install fonts on my Mate 9 :s12:

I experience some problem with dual sim.

I set my primary data on 2nd sim.

So I am using M1, and no data connection in the lift is normal, but when I get out from the lift, my 2nd sim straight away show no service.

I cant even switch it back in the sim setting, it's like it cannot detect the 2nd sim.

I need to switch off the sim 1, and switch on the sim 1 again, then only able to switch on sim 2.

Anyone experience that ?

I couldn't replicate your case, eg: enter and exit lift.

I set primary data on 2nd sim and 1st sim had no service for just a short while before getting service back. I can detect both sims and working
