@mt & vulpix
read from some reviews that the power button is a little too sensitive. Any comments on this?
One great thing about this Nexus 6P screen:
No curved edges = no halo effect for screen protectors!!
One sian thing for me:
That new Anker QC2.0 powerbank I bought from Amazon, is now wasted $$$!!
(it's still very slim for a 10k powerbank, but unable to rapid-charge the 6P)
Is there any powerbank that supports rapid-charge for the 6P?
Haha.. I just saw Vulpix post on reddit..
Subject to confirmation by the pros, rooting won't trip QFuse. If you put in a custom recovery, it will. I think at most nexus users might necessarily root to access certain functions. But to install custom recovery may not be so necessary.
So the command:
fastboot oem unlock
Will trip the qfuse? This is a required step to flash all partitions on the device using the factory image and has always been supported on the nexus.

Sent from Motorola NEXUS 6 using GAGT
I think most people are concerned about the warranty portion. So far I haven't heard of any company officially stating they will support if the virtual fuse is blown.
Most nexus users wanna unlock bootloader. It's basically the first step once everyone gets a Nexus.
You install custom everything, rom, recovery, kernel.
So correct me if I'm wrong when I say Huawei messed up big time putting this fuse in.

My guess is if you buy the phone from playstore Google would not check the qfuse status.
If you buy from huawei, you void your warranty.
Need to wait for Google's comment on this.

Google has never ever voided warranty for unlocking and rooting Nexus phones ever. In fact this is the precise reason for providing the nexus phones, for development.
Every one of my three previous Nexus devices have been unlocked as the first thing I do after powering them on. I've sent a Nexus5 back to Google Japan for rma in a unlocked and rooted state for screen replacement even.
Should Huawei Singapore refuse to provide warranty if unlocked, bring it up with Google and I am extremely confident they would honor the warranty and also speak to Huawei representatives in Singapore about it
Think we all have to get from Google or Amazon if we want to use custom roms and such..for last year nexus 6, the ppl who bought from motorola.com doesn't RMA to google, only ppl who bought from playstore RMA thru google.
they are separated, google never cared about unrooting the phone. they still rma as it is.
in the other hand, motorola insisted that if they found out the phone is rooted, they will void warranty.
in SG, we are buying from huawei, not google.
To be honest do we really need to root? Sorry guys, but the way I see it its alot of epenor boosting only. Rooting a phone has its implications and I have my doubts if many of the people that root actually fully comprehends what root access actually entails. Furthermore, apart from a few legitimate cases, what do we really need root for?
That's my 2 cents.
