Can only get this phone if you don mind all the shortcoming without GMS.

Using the P40Pro for about 3 weeks already.
For me I can still live with it.
Just that when using Grab app, you wont be able to see the map.
Singpass app is not available for use as of current.
When accessing games/apps, will always prompt google service is not available. But still can use the app after cancelling that notification.

If anyone said, google services has spyware, to be fair huawei or xiaomi also have.

But still, gotta admit that huawei has better specs for hardware than samsung.

commoners do not afraid of spyware imo

Actually any phone you use and once you start installing apps, both the phone and some apps might store some of your personal data on their servers. Any brand, any os is bound to have such things.

We are not celebrity or government personnel or doing top secret projects where we are worried about people gathering our data. P40 Pro is a very good phone with a good camera. When I had the P40 Pro it is a good phone.

Just checking.... I was playing with the P40 Pro camera and i found the AI doesnt detect super macro shot.... all macro shot were blur... my Mate 20 pro AI will detect as super macro and took very clear close shots!!!

Anyone got this issue??

If the apps you require can be downloaded from HMS then no need to sideload GMS. As for whether it is safe anot, nobody can give you a definite answer.

I sideload gms. Everything is working with the exception of singpass....

After struggling for 4 hours straight. Finally installed gms and play store. Trust me it is not easy at all. Most of the time it is really trial and error. I was lucky. Apparently I found out that Google is consistently plugging the gaps. Most of the methods do not work now.

You gotta mix and match different methods of sideloading gms.

Thanks bro for letting us know thy Singpass App is not working on side loaded gms.

Maybe can post the link on the steps you tried and worked for side loading the gms as some bros here also having difficulty in installing.

I sideload gms. Everything is working with the exception of singpass....

All along singpass can't work if u install gms. Mine also can't work
