My R400 have been facing this occasional issue whereby the laptop locks up by itself similar to a BSOD except that the screen always goes blank. Wireless/Bluetooth indicator also goes off.

Have to power cycle the laptop to recover.

Windows diagnose it as a BSOD. Details:

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 18441

Extra information about the problem
BCCode: 19
BCP1: 0000000000000020
BCP2: FFFFFA8004743828
BCP3: FFFFFA8004744208
BCP4: 00000000059E5A00
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

Is this symptoms to known hardware problems?

hmmm... change sys bd meh? :D

You should be able to find a replacement at authorized Lenovo retailers in Funan eg.AddOn to get it (if you need it urgently).

I think AC Adaptors are warrantied for 1 year. You might want to confirm with Lenovo by calling up their help desk at 800-6011-343.

yes. its quite confusing because i also don't know unless i check ur machine type n serial number. but dun worry most sch users 3 yrs for everything + onsite... but nevertheless u can call n check with that number.

wat number u called? and wat is the issue with ur machine?

call this number 800 6011 343

Thats the number I always call for help when there is problem with my machine. But it seems this time round they know nothing about this machine at all and telling me SOP stuff to resolve issue which I have tried on my own before.

Did try down grade the faulty drivers for the wifi card. resolved 90% of the issue, but the wifi still DC at times. Weird issue.

The power manager is the worst. If you run on batt and plug in the AC, the screen will black out. Even if you up the brightness, its still black. Again the technical support have no solution for me.

The audio output from the docking station produced static noise. Again they do not know the solution. Demo this to the technical guy who came down, he also do not have a solution for my problem.

My Think vantage toolbox under 32bit OS can read the bios, not under the 64 bit. No one can give me a reason why also.

Where can I get help for all these problem I am facing now?

Hi, anyone care to advice on the battery life (6 cells) of T410? I bought one witht the i5-540 CPU and it only last around 2hr for normal work (surfing, spreadsheet, ppt, NO movie). The Thinkclub ad mention can last 5hr which my don't even last half of what mention.

You might want to create a custom profile under Power Manager. As a baseline, you might want to leave your T410 idle for about 10 seconds or so, and then see how much power it's consuming under your current profile. This number can be found under the 'Battery' tab under PM. Create your own profile and check the same number.

For the records, my profile on my x200 includes adaptive CPU, Passive Cooling, screen at 7 brightness, dim on 15 min idle, dim on login, shutdown etc, max power save on WiFi, PCI bus etc. I installed an Intel X25M recently, idle power consumption (reading web pages, PDF etc) can go below 8W but hovers between 8 - 9W, awesome. The 9cell battery indicates in excess of 9 hours run time. In case you're wondering, it is very usable under this setting.

And yes, the boot and shutdown and app launch is ridiculously fast with the X25M :D

you are not alone... We both are facing this problem. Step one uninstall the power manager, it does help a bit.

i did burn myself. at first i was able to use it. after some time, the disc was not able to read. i did try to use other drive to read it and still the same thing.
so i confirm that the disc is damage.
