Hi everyone,

First time buying a laptop off amazon, hope to get your advice. I'm looking to buy a t430
(Amazon.com : Lenovo ThinkPad 2344BMU T430 14-Inch Notebook : Netbook Computers : Computers & Accessories)

What kind of warranty will this come with? How can I find out?
I want to upgrade to a SSD, does anyone have any to recommend? (Also, am I right to say I'll need a 7mm height SSD for this?)

Thanks :)

If you are not using it in US, it is as good as no warranty.

For 2.5" drives, you do need the 7 mm. 9.5 mm drives will not fit.

There used to an option for international warranty from Lenovo site. I'm not sure about now.

Looking for X61T screen hinge and swivel

Hi all,

Anyone has a spare screen hinge/swivel for X61T? Mine's very loose and won't hold up the screen anymore.

Please PM me if you have one to let go.

Cheers!

anyone knows where i can get a replacement battery for my thinkpad T430?
my battery dead and cannot charge after 2yrs of usage.

i had checked with lenovo service centre, they told me it will takes 2 months if i confirm my order with them.

i had bought from battdepot (which is from hk) but the battery cannot work due to incompatible issue.

kindly pm me.

Even though 3-4 years late, finally i am owner of X220 (used but very good condition). Going to change the storage to SSD, any suggestion where I could download ISO of Windows 7 Professional with SP1 and recent updates included?

Just wanted to say that my T60 from 2006 is still working very well, used daily (by my dad). Recently upgraded RAM to 4GB and the T60 flies on Windows 7. ThinkPads really last long eh? Should I maintain it somewhat by opening it up to clean dust off etc?

Oh and, anyone interested in unused X61 battery (replacement brand, not Lenovo one)? 4-Cell one, ordered 1 year ago but never used as sold the X61 shortly before battery arrived.
