Anyway I gotten a bekant left corner on Monday. I find it ok.. Didn't have the galant before. But 399 for a table like this is pretty decent..

EDIT> decent in the sense of design is ok. nice and simple..

But maybe due to its fix by my own it might not be very well build. typing this post causes my monitor to shake a bit. seems like the desk is not strong enough.

If you don't mind getting your hand dirty you can try a DIY ikea kitchen worktop (cost about $75 for 1.8m and $90 for 2.4m with 4x Adils leg ($5/leg). Look something like this

The kitchen worktop can be cut to your size that you want with 2 spared laminate strip for the edge.

I did mine and get it cut at a wood cutter shop at Jalan Berseh called Ban Heng Long Trading for $10.

Really is cheap and good, similar bekant table is costing something like double..

Was looking for a Galant table top but Ikea only had the smaller sizes. Did not get the Bekant as way too pricey.

Ended up with a solid wood Gerton table top.

i just returned from tampines Ikea wanting to buy the Galant. I knew something was not right when i saw the galant was off their website. i still was hoping to get it before it went EOL (it EOL faster than i thought)

So where can i get table of similar grade (I am looking at the right corner piece with extensions and T legs).

I am also actively looking for 2nd hand office tables of similar type but i couldnt find any company that has something I want.

i am currently still using a more than 15yr old (I think is really that old) sitoca. Used to have afew but i just wanted to get a new table that feels like a office table. One thing i do not like about my current sitoca is the height. its very low compared to 2 of the tables that were thrown away by 2 different offices. This is why i do not mind 2nd hand office tables as well.

Called sitoca but havent received my catalog. Dun think they will send as well. Any more ways to see tables from sitoca?

Went to vhive at funan ytd. Only one that caught my eye and having the dimensions i need. Others cannot extend blah blah.

So hard to get a good table nowadays
