just went to ikea. saw the bekant but insanely expensive (>$200 for 160x80). also no sign of the supposed electric motor for adjusting table height. lucky i hoot a galant right before they run outta stock. =/

A similar size Galant runs about $200. Plus the Galant has been around forever.

I'd say it's a fair price to pay for the quality upgrade. Whether it's worth it... that's up to the individual.

I think the Galant is still available, for those that prefer a lower price or the wider selection.

Similar sized galant is only $159. Less than 10 pieces at tampines at the time i called.

Just buy the legs and support frame. Table top go toh guan buy solid wood piece of your own liking. Just do your own lacquer. Cost about the same as buying a gallant.

Anyway for galant users, can I ask if it's possible to screw in a 3M keyboard tray? need to get one for this L shape length..

length wise based on floor plan is 2658mm x 1672mm..estimate.

I called ikea a few days ago and they said the frame is out of stock. Table top and the legs are available.

the board i get from ikea.
the caster wheels i get it from online. taobao .

SG caster wheels like all make of plastic which i think no very good.

galant table top is not make of solid wood na.
no need to drill. can screw in anything at long it fix well.

this table the frame is the important thing.
