Haha completely forgot that there was this thread.
I'm still using my sitoca desk but always looking out for a new desk.
I got to scanteak for a quote on a piece of pinewood 180cm x75cm at $700.
Thought I could maybe get the top there and legs from the galant.
But damn solid wood is expensive.

Funan not selling the Sitoca series that i want.... Shoot them an email if they are able to customise for me and pricing... But doubt they will entertain me as they are doing for coporate business, and may not do for end-users like me...

But, hoping for a reply frm them..

If you getting the 1.6m x 0.8m top like me, you'll definitely need a van or small pick up lorry.

Might fit in a car like Toyota Wish with seats folded perhaps, but normal sedans sure cannot fit.

If you only buying one table, would be slightly cheaper to hire those freelance delivery guys.

Last time there used to have some people with vans parked at ikea's carpark waiting for such lobangs, I paid like $10 for my galant from tamp ikea to my place in tampines round market. Not sure if still have.

One thing to note for prospective Galant owners is to keep water away from the table. There are some invisible cracks in the clear coat of my table and water seeped through and now there are a few small bumps on the surface.

Another thing to note is if you eat at your table, don't put the hot bowl directly on top of the table. It will cause a white ring to form on your table, which you can remove by ironing the table top.

Get the kitchen table top then. At least that one is rated for spills.

That one only happens to the right angle corner Galant tops from my experience, the straight ones are much better finished than the corner ones, although its still rather cheapo finishing lol.

They do sell solid boards under the kitchen area which you can just buy legs to top it off as a table top.

For those with the Galant tables (non L-shaped, normal straight table), can i check with you all if the A-Legs will protrude out of the table's 'area'. Like if the table is 120x60, and height is set to 70, will the legs extend out of the 60cm area, total width will be 60+?
