Amaze further nerfing for ezlink / transit with additional 2% now lol..

Saddening..
Still ok for other purposes like earn card rewards with lower fx fee or convert transactions to online.

The big nerf is when the banks blanket ban Amaze (like DBS did).

A big thank you for being part of our amaze-ing community! We’re writing to share updates about your amaze card.

Starting from Feb 20, there will be a fee of 2% or minimum SGD 0.50 (whichever is higher) when you use your linked cards through amaze to fund e-wallets, prepaid cards, trading, crypto payments and EZ-link wallet top-ups in SGD. But here’s the good news - if you pay these merchants via your amaze wallet, you won't have to pay any fees!

So can topup amaze wallet first using credit card and then top up grab using amaze wallet? Why do they insist it be a 2 step process?

Tot Amaze card cannot top up Grab? I tried before, it was successful once but subsequent, Grab will fail & the amount is not topped up. Instead Grab will do a refund back to the Amaze card & back to the linked card u used in Amaze.

Sometimes it fails, it says server not reachable and then you get refund back. But mostly it is successful. In my experience 4 out of 5 times it is successful.

Milelion has come out with the article, but even he doesn't know what is the real nerf here. He has alluded that Grab top-up using amaze is a conduit to transfer cash from credit card to bank account. Is he really that dumb, or pretending to be?
I thought it’s good only for 4mpd + 1% cashback. I never use it as I’m more cashback person. Can u explain more what’s so special about grab topup? Or ezlink :)

Using credit card to topup to amaze wallet means no points for your credit card right?

Better that than boasting that they know some secret techniques. That never makes people any friends.

Grab topup using amaze is considered as debit card top up. You can send this to your bank. This even milelion has mentioned. There is no limit to this other than grab daily transaction limit. So you can theoretically transfer like say 30k a month from your card to bank account and just keep rotating the credit each month. You can earn interest on that 30k these days it is like 4%.

I read about amaze wallet, there is an annual transaction limit of 30k. So that is really the NERF here guys.
