I made several txns on 1st Feb using Amaze linked to DBS WWMC but they are posted as 31st Jan. I had already spent $2000 in January so the txns only got .4mpd instead of 4mpd. How is this possible? I wasn't even in the country where I used the Amaze card on the 31st and arrived on the 1st Feb. There is no way they happened on the 31st. Is this a known issue?
it's been mentioned few times by users here in the thread, look it up. it has happened before. and it's not all transactions, but some. the exact workings behind is unknown.

i suspect their payment processor is based in another timezone behind SG. so while you charge after 12am past 1st Feb, becos of that it possibly still post as 31st Jan. my hunch is 3pm SGT is the safest time that it doesn't clocks as previous day transaction date as i've never seen anything or other users highlight anything beyond 3pm. 2+ PM have. this is more commonly noticed by DBS card users as they follow transaction date for rewards/cashback calculation.

this also somehow why Amaze transaction post relatively faster than banks for the same transaction Apple to Apple, becos of the time lag (merchant [i.e Amaze] settlement done usually at night) of that timezone, but SG side (timezone ahead) the banks normally settle/post the transaction overnight. so one catches up with another timezone in this way. this is more beneficial for non-DBS cards whom usually calculate rewards/cashbacks via posting date and they pin their hope that the transaction post faster on their bank statement in time for their bill cycle for last min purchase towards tail end of cycle

Thanks. Still don't understand how timezones could bring the settlement date forward. I charged the card on 1st Feb at about 11am SGT. I would have thought DBS would use SGT and there's obviously no way that the timezone of the payment processor could bring the time the transaction was actually made forward. I'd expect delays - but no way would I expect the transaction to post earlier than it occurred. Anyway, lesson learnt - no more 1st of the month Amaze->WWMC transactions for me! It was only $300 of .4mpd so not the end of the world.

it's more a rather convulated process behind of one earlier and later timezone having caught up with each other. most likely processor based on US timezone with the 15 hours lag.

i feel you, in the card scene you sometimes have to pay tuition fee to learn for more knowledge and runway ahead. some things not worth shaking the forest especially Amaze

Hi guys, I’ve paired my amaze card with my SCB unlimited cashback, and been using it for over a month. Just realised that there was no cashback from SCB credited to me in my latest bill. Do you know if the amaze transactions are now excluded from SCB’s cashback?

Yeah it’s not reflected in the unbilled or billed statements on the ebanking app also. Was wondering if it is a recent exclusion. I checked SCB unlimited cash back’s exclusion list and it doesn’t include amaze yet.

Mainly food and Lazada shopee stuff haha. Not like grabpay top ups kind. Will monitor a bit and update here if I do see the rebates in the end, but I think I won’t be using so much of the amaze card anymore. Like UOB one all in rebate is still better.

Hi,

I'm looking to get the Amaze card and link it to my DBS Altitude for my spending on a holiday in Thailand. Main aim is not cashback but rather to get a good currency conversion rate.

However on the Amaze website (currency conversion section) it says that there is a fee for all transactions in a different currency? Am I misunderstanding?

Thanks!

the fee is meant for money transfer from account to account by instarem. The amaze card exchange rate do not have extra fee. the rate is also pretty close to that of youtrip,

why not aim to get cashback/10×points and 1% Amaze rebate on top of no fees?

hi guys, for those already using this card:

When this card mentioned "link 5 credit/ debit cards to this InstaReM card" so for example, I link one citibank credit card and one OCBC credit card to this InstaReM card.

When I make my purchase, there will be a drop down list on the app in my phone for me to select to pay with which card?
need to select the card to be use in the Instarem app before using the card to make purchase
