In Chicago, just saw that Instarem's charged rate compared to XE's live rate has a 1.34% markup. Will have a chance for more transactions in the coming days and will update.

It was 1% for a while but people have been reporting significant worsening. Not sure how this compares to other modes.

just made a few transactions in USD, spread seems to be at 1.25% or lesser. considered good when factoring in 1% instapoints

If you want to confirm for yourself, ask the business centre to charge $1 to your card first, verify on the website, then pay the remainder on your next visit.

The instapoints has some restrictions. You need atleast $20 worth points, below that no use. So you need to make like $2000 worth overseas transactions.

Based on the unbilled amount seen in the app, the Trust Credit Card markup is 0.2-0.25%. But of course, zero rebates so Amaze still ahead (for USD it seems) for bonus categories on the linked credit cards.

For the no bonus categories, Trust is probably sufficient. For those, I will likely discontinue using the Amaze-CIMB MC link (which earlier yielded 1%).

Not true, hotels book on their own websites is usually charged in foreign currency and sometimes has the best offers but problem is citi rewards doesn't give 4miles per dollar for that so not useful for me.

If you have access to the UOB Ladies' card, the travel category will cover hotels.

Having said that, I've never liked to use the Amaze card with the hotel's own booking website. Some of them do not charge the card until a few days before checking-in or even only upon check-out. Makes it hard to manage in terms of making sure it is linked to the right card & limits.
