ABP is a browser extension.

whereas content blocker is an app. so if in the future there is a new browser/app, that browser/app can allow the content blocker app to filter the Internet response and block unnecessary contents.. that is why there is an additional step to enable the content blocker on setting>safari.

For perspective, this 'comparison' chart was tweeted by the Purfiy dev. Take it with a grain of salt.

And interestingly, Marco, the Peace dev, recommends Purify and Crystal since Peace is no longer available.

i purchased Crystal and tried it on hwz forum non mobile version..like still got small ads below..is it normal?

Most of this content blockers are tailor made for mobile websites. That being said, I've no idea if that has an effect.

I'm using Crystal too and while it blocks on the mobile version of HWZ, desktop version does have ads. The good thing about crystal is you can directly let the dev know which sites still have ads through the app and he will add it on to the list in the next update.

On purify.
HWZ all ads blocked.

Would using both Purify & Crystal be overkill? Or would it cause sites to load slower thus consuming more batt?

ya for crystal, still can see the ads under the social media area at the bottom of the page.

seems like purify is better at blocking ads on hwz site.

I do not pay for single app and use couple of "free" ad block ads. As compared to Purify, key difference is I still can see social media (i.e. Twitter) integration at the bottom of hardsarezone forum

Feedback to the app developer. He is usually quite fast when it comes to updating such stuff.
