Will ipad mini 6 get refreshed this year (mostly fix the jelly screen) ??
Actually the "jelly" effect is normal. I've observed the same issue with my Samsung S5e as well. It appears that the slower refresh rate (60 Hz) and the fast up and down scrolling will cause part of the screen to lag a little. But in reality, people don't rapidly scroll up and down on the page in their normal usage.

How many of u all still paste screen protector if you use a folio case ah?

The screen should be sufficiently protected by the front cover?
If you are one that tend to change your device and sell the old to make some money back, then I think you are better off getting a TG protector for the screen. Likewise if one is OCD and cannot stand seeing any scratches anywhere on the device. After all if you look around, you should be able to get TG screen protectors for around 10 to 15 bucks even for big screens. The glass used on iPads is scratch resistant, not scratch proof. I've tested with and without TG screen protector on my tablets, with or without folios, and the result is that it will always get some micro scratches over time because the screen is frequently in contact with something, be it your fingers, the cover, the table, etc.

battery life for this dun seem to be too good.
my daughter uses it mainly for videos and games and it will go from 100% to 50% in about 3-4 hours.

I’m very hesitant in getting a iPad mini again. I have e iPad Air 2 gen iPad 1 gen and a mini 1 gen. The mini now lags so badly it is unusable but compared to the iPad and iPad Air I could still use it for simple work.

not sure why the mini is not as usable as the other bigger iPads.

I find the iPad mini 6 really good
perfect size for one handed use
very usable to type without the need to use keyboard
weight is also just nice
A14 chip is fast and snappy
can support Apple Pencil 2
laminated screen, P3 colour

I am thinking of getting a mini 6 for work

Use case would be teams and mainly note taking (notes on pdfs, ppt, etc).

Can anyone comment on how you find the screen size? Is it too small for notes and something like the air size would be better? Testing it in the Apple store seems OK - but I wonder about long term use

I’m using the iPad Mini 6 for my overseas travel cafe hopping. Surfing net, playing the occasional light games like Clash of Clans, watching hk TVB, perfect weight to size ratio. Screen size is alright to me. Batt life also not bad. A15 chip inside makes this machine very snappy. I got the 256gb wifi version.

Long term usage also is fine, since you’ll know that the iPad mini version doesn’t get yearly upgrades. Worthy gadget to buy from Apple.

The other awesome thing about the mini’s size is how it can fit in existing A5 size cases e.g. my Bellroy A5 work folio.

Anyone face issues charging your iPad mini 6 with non Apple provided usb-c cable? I borrowed my girl's xiaomi cable which works when used with her phone but not the iPad mini.

From what I understand, not all non-Apple cables can work.

My original cable is still sitting pretty in the box.
