I did a restore to the ipad mini using ipad2 backup. Some of the photos became very low resolution (blurry) while others are still clear as per ipad quality.

Anyone face this problem? Any idea how to resolve this problem? Thanks

it should charge to 100% by itself without the need to do hard reset before it continues to 100%,your problem seems not resolved.

maybe hard reset follows by setup by new phone after restore helps?

if hard reset follows by "restore from backup".. think wasting time doing hard reset. because you are restoring to original state (

As usual, bring back home can only charge till 90%. Must be temperature issue. I on and off the charger will not charge. Must let the charger cool down then can charge.

I tried charging mine using 5w charger, apparently I'm able to charge it from 8% to 100% without any issue this time. I really think the issue doesn't lies with the ipad itself. 12W adapter and MacBook Air USB charging appear to be fine. If its the ipad mini's issue, it shld not be able to charge normally via the 2 latter means too, unless its incompatibility between ipad mini and the 5w charger at times.

A good possibility is the temperature of the 5w charger during charging. I do believe that the best option is to charge with 12w charger, 5w simply is not sufficient. Just my personal belief.

wow...seems to be a pressing issue for some, what is actually the problem ? 5W charger overheating thus charging stop ? or mini is faulty ?

oh...by the way for those who is having charging issue did you guys restore backups from say your other device like ipad 2/3...etc ? or setup as new device ?

try using a macbook 3.0 USB port and charge, most likely it can be charged fully without issue. the USB 3.0 port on macbook air is about 4.5W (0.9A, 5V), if its the ipad mini's fault, likelihood is that it can't be charged fully using the USB port too.

I think this could be a rather good gauge to see if it's the ipad mini's fault or charger's overheating issue.

One more note, maybe one can try turning on the air conditioner to 18 degrees Celsius and use a fan to blow directly at the wall adapter. Let it charge to see if it works too. just an idea.

think the best way to review the iPad Mini is to pit it against competitors in a series of death matches. After all, come holiday time

Ok, today I bring my 5W charger to my living room to charge whereby it is more cooler. From 87% to 100%.
