There’s a difference between an average OLED and an excellent LCD. Besides, iPhone 11 is not about that LCD. It’s about the seamless experience and integration.

Anyhow, Apple is going to sell A LOT of iPhone 11 and it will become the best selling smartphone again this year. Apple will have the last laugh.

It’s already dropping. Carousell users are forming their own RRP. Take for example the most popular size 256gb. Apple RRP $2039. I just saw ppl marketing at $1920. Savings of $119.

Sim-only plans is beginning to take form and gain acceptance for mass users in SG, as compared to last year. That being said, this year’s iPhone prices wouldn’t drop so fast as there will be lesser ppl who sign phones to sell to famous retailer shops like MS, WM, RWM.

I got a 256 XS Max 256gb for $1650 in 3 Nov 2018 from carousell. Savings of $389 after 1.5 mths of wait after the mid Sep iPhone launch day. IIRC, mobile shops were offering $1620 take-in price for this gb size ATPOT. This is just a price form guide for those who’re interested to buy iPhones at a discounted RRP. Mobileshops will then mark up $80-100 to resell. I.e. they take in at $1620, they will resell at $1700-1720.

Rule of thumb is always to: wait for mobile shops to set the take-in price first. Then you offer to self collect from end-users at carousell at their location, at $30-50 above the mobileshops’ prices. The trick is to create a win-win situation, you save those end-users’ time and cumbersomeness to offload their phones to MS/RWM. You yourself also save around $50 below what Mobile Square/Red White Mobile is selling.

Note 10+ current price is S$1150 at famous mobile shops. As compared to Apple for supposedly the most popular size - iPhone 11 Pro Max at S$2039. Price-wise android camp already win hands down.

But ardent Apple users will still continue to upgrade their iPhones yearly, nevermind how little the improvements might seem. After 1 full year, I still can get 10hrs+ of Screen On time for XS Max, with 20%+ of juice left. No need to carry portable charger. Battery health 99%. That certainly can’t be said of the same for Note series.

And yup, all iPhones will be available to try out on launch day 20 Sep 2019 at all stores - Apple Orchard, iStudio, ST, M1, SH.

That's not a very fair comparison as you're comparing 3rd party shops to official Apple Store. Should be $1598 and $2039 for both Note10+ to 11 Pro Max at 256GB.

Yes iPhones have pretty killer batt life and I don't have to bring out any power bank for it on a regular day, and can still last me 2 days. Whereas the Note10+ perhaps nearly 1.5 days on regular usage.

True that iOS have better battery management compared to Android, despite specs such as RAM and battery capacity being higher than iPhones, but still didn't last as long.

iPhones have their reasons for their premium prices for example, Apple develops their own OS for their own devices whereas Samsung for example relies on Google's Android. Both systems have their own strengths, but I'm still mainly an iOS user.
