dun really enjoy playing games on touch screen controls. will probably try at some point down e road though. many reviewers praised e service as fun n games focused on enjoyment rather than milking in app micro-transactions.

Question: how do you all import photos not using icloud photos or itunes?

i have alot of folders on my PC that i want to import. i tried using AnyTrans but all imported photos are named 'From AnyTrans' under the From Mac section and there's no way i can change that.

if i use iTunes, i need to make sure that all my photos in the PC are from one folder but mine is all over different hard disks.

i have a habit of transferring and separating all photos taken from different phones; example:

folder name "from XS Max": all photos taken from my time using that phone
folder name "from Huawei Mate 20": all photos taken from my time using that phone

i'm already paying for icloud 200GB but my photos are way more than that. i backup to my own NAS and google photos too but i am wondering if i have an option to have it locally in the phone since i have 512GB.

Google Photos is unlimited so just upload then download to yr phone.

IG is being terrible as usual with new devices. Give it a week or two before they fix it.

Hmm i recall iTunes would work if everything is in one folder with sub folders in it. The sub folders will become albums. I think at this point you might want to consider cloud storages. Even your NAS is great. Just need an app to interface to it. Not sure but you could try to see if the Files app can connect to your NAS.

If you use iCloud or Google photos the methods will be the same with each other. Tho I’m not sure if Google photos will preserve timeline when viewed in photos. It has been awhile but I’ve avoided Google photos cause they uses photos their for their Machine learning.

You should be able to save the photos from the files app to photos app. Last I tried I could select a whole bunch and there was a save option in the share sheet.
Yeah iCloud can be slow at bulk uploads.
