iPhone 11/11 Pro

Came from mate 20x, bought an iPhone 11 based off reviews that it's the best iPhone to get.
Terribly disappointed with the phone.
- Missing many features android has, internet speed display, swipe to off screen, quick switch WiFi network, widgets
- camera is piss poor,the night mode cannot match Huawei at all and the day colours are muted. The wide angle camera quality isn't the best either. In a blind test I can easily identify the mate 20 pictures from the iPhone
- heating issue even when screen off in my pocket. Full charge at 1pm, very little usage and the battery is now 30%

I'll give it a week, if things don't improve I'm selling it

Anybody ever held an iPhone beside an android and noticed the fluidity of both? Because it seems to me like the android animations are more smooth than on the iPhone
I can detect the iPhone jittering especially at the start of the animation, eg open a program or call task manager. I don't notice it on android. Not very noticeable unless you are looking for it but my iPhone is brand new and my android has a lot of stuff on it. I didn't expect the iPhone to jutter ESP when it's still brand new

Why in the world would you need a internet speed meter. The wifi quick switch is in control Center. Press and hold on the networking panel. Widgets depends on the apps if they want to do it and honestly you don’t need it.

Yeah it is “muted” I rather say it is true to life and not something some over saturated and completely voided of shadows night mode.

The stutters shouldn’t be happening but it is a fresh phone so likely indexing. You should leave it in the charger and connected to wifi over night to let it sync everything and index.

Then again. The iphone is not for you. The phone is to be simple for user. Not cluttered with junk that you don’t need.

Previous owner of Android phones. In terms of fluidity, there is no way iOS losing out to Android.

Android was build on JVM in the past, which is a virtual machine. You cannot totally tap on the hardware capabilities. Although Android has switched to ART (Android Runtime), the lag is still there because of how piss poor code in Java is. Compiling code will not be as optimised as iOS. Swift is a very powerful and lightweight library with a lot of optimisation for developers.

As for some of the features mentioned, with iOS 13, you can quick switch your wireless network the same as Android does.

The camera is organic on the iPhone while it is not on the Huawei device. Also a DSLR owner, so long as your camera does anything below 18mm, distortion will happen. Let alone the iPhone camera is 13mm for wide angle. Distortion definitely will happen.

Huawei probably uses their post-processing for all your photos. The night mode makes photo a bit too bright and non-organic.

Coming from oneplus 7 pro..I can only notice the 60hz screen not that fluid. Other than that..all is good

I used more Android phones than iPhones and even those with 90hz screen. Despite the flaws of iPhones, it’s fluidity cannot be beaten at all.

Have been using the iPhone XS max for the past 12 months, currently using the 11 pro max, feel that the speed on the 11pro max is significantly faster than the XS max. I'm on 13 beta 4. Camera wise, beside the ultra wide lens, output is quite similar to XS max.

Doubt it is going to drop in price next year. The pricing trend holds true still. This year should be as Low as it gets. The longer you hold the older phone the further your device resale price drops.

i was never an iphone user. my first iphone was the 6s plus and sold it within 4 months. been using huawei for the last 3 years and after the whole issue with Google, i ate up my words and moved again to iPhone.

basically, features of the iPhone can seem basic as compared to android. android has way more 'advance' stuff and the beauty of customization. but after giving iPhone another chance, i bought the xs max in May this year and everything that i had thought about iPhone and iOS is just a matter of perspective.

i got over Android now, just changed to the 11 Pro Max yesterday and i've got to say, the experience of moving from one iPhone to another is something i can never get switching between android phones. iPhone does not need alot of RAM like android devices have but i can safely say that they don't need to. somehow, their RAM management is miles better.

Seems fine here. Been thru the whole downtown line, circle line and EW line still usable.

Home wifi mesh works good here. You might have some very niche case here.

Don’t wait for 5G. 5G and it’s maturity is years away from now. No point getting a device which has the support but cannot be used.
