The extra memory in the Pro will help with keeping apps in memory, there are a bunch of YouTube vids already proving this. Aside from that there’s not a ton of stuff to differentiate between the Pro and the regular IP12. Aluminium edges may reduce handset weight but it’s not a hardy material at all, once drop only GG. Worse if you like going caseless.

Icloud is damn good.

If your family is using iPhone, can even consider sharing 2tb iCloud. Am on 2tb and planning to buy 512gb. Basically all your photos and videos are available at high resolution at your fingertips

Basically 6 pax can share the subscription and each will have your own iCloud. Don’t worry about others seeing your photos 😆

But let say if we store in iCloud, will they take up iPhone storage as well?

It will but it will automatically free up space. For example if you have 128gb and your photos is only 80gb. Basically all your photos will be on both phone and iCloud

But when it reaches close to 128 of photos, more and more photos will only have a “thumbnail” on your phone and normally the more recent photos will remain on the phone.

If you have 1tb of photos, the. Only the very recent photos will be on your phone

Basically you don’t need to do any archiving and just let iCloud do its magic

Subscribed to the 2TB plan and shared amongst my family. It’s useful for my aged parents as all their devices gets automatically backed up daily at night + the photos that they took is synced across with iCloud Photos. So it’s pretty seamless for them.

Selected the Optimise iPhone Storage option in Photos, so it uses lesser local storage on my iPhone. But :s22: when I wanna rewatch videos when I’m on mobile data, cause it needs to download from iCloud.

U all can fill up close to 2TB worth of stuffs bros? Holy! What stash is that? Even if share with family members, I manually divide, I can imagine each family member is using more than 256GB worth of iCloud space.

All pro photographers/4K videographers?

many files and documents on macbook and ipad also stored on icloud.

Is it, having that sense of security that since all things are stored in iCloud, there isn't the possibility of thumbdrive corruption?

Coz my calculation and thinking is like this: S$12.98 x 12mths = 155.76/yr (2tb share with max 5 family members) so each one avg 400gb

But if each family member get their own 512gb thumbdrive, isn't it cheaper in the long run.
