No cost will be incurred as long as you don't buy and return multiple iPhones at one goal.

Sounds tempting haha

What you tell them when you want to return? I don't think this phone suits me?

What if he guai lan want charge 25% open box restocking fee? Anyway to ask for wavier?

It's Apple promise for the return process to be quick and fuss free. No questions asked on the return/exchange of product, even if you have it
engraved. They will ask you for your receipt/invoice (to check on serial number and whether purchase date is less than 14 days ago) and whether you wish to return or exchange. That's it and you'll be asked to leave the store cuz of crowd control lol.

Sounds tempting but please don't be addicted to doing this. It's very xia suay haha.

Did it once, saying it from personal experience.

I did it a couple of times for my iPhone X 3 years ago because of the yellow-ish display after seeing some people doing it on the forums :s13:
Never charge me restocking fee

but I not sure if this is added recently or they just using it to scare people but actually don't do it

I did a return last month and I can confirm the restocking fee is there to scare off those scalpers who buy 2 iPhones in one receipt but decides to return later cuz nobody gave them a good offer in their home country. If you buy 1 iPhone only, you're no longer a suspect.

However, this is a period of major iPhone launches. I can't guarantee I'm 100% correct.

They are usually stricter during launch periods.
I’ll say don’t abuse the exchange/refund program.

actually i find that buying apple products cannot be too calculative of costs...

they charge you an ultra premium, and they price their products very very very strategically

so just embrace it and let your money burn if you want apple products

True to some extent. Besides the quality phone hardware itself, you are also paying a premium for :

- the overall Apple ecosystem, like iOS, App Store, plus integration with products AWs, iPads and Macbooks
- Excellent after sales service, though some would argue we are paying for AppleCare+
- the good resale value even 2-3 years after the launch of the model

Hope they charge restocking fee. Last time always got ** kias buy to flip, then find out not so flippable then wanna refund la, buy to try la, phone not so shiok then refund la, all sorts of excuses.

The only reason Apple should accept a refund is if it is faulty.

That’s why try not to keep it for too long. Sell and upgrade while still got value

actually no hurry, my XS until recently RWM still taking in around $500.. but now drop to around $440 la, so to me, a phone of this vintage can fetch such value ald damn solid

somehow i feel the real beauty of apple is you can pay a premium but use the phone for wayyyy longer

it’s like buying an LV bag but using it for 5 or even 10 years

True. It also depends on whether you buy with or without contract. Plan wisely and it is not really that expensive because of the high resale value

Sorry, but no amount of ram management can beat an increase in physical ram. I guess u dont even use the camera or multiple apps at once to realise that apps keeps refreshing. Its like changing from the iPhone 6 to the 6s and to the X then finally 11 pro max. All the iterations have bumped up their ram and i have benefitted from the increase in ram. 4gb is just barely sufficient for ios these days. 6gb would be a better sweet spot for today's iPhone.

my X with 3gb of ram can keep 6-7 apps in e background without refreshing.
