Not really, most of it is probably due to the efficiency of the new A15Guess is due to improved displays and variable frame rate feature. If current phones are refreshing at 60Hz, and the videos are playing at 30Hz, then iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max can just refresh the display at 30Hz as well (given that area outside video is static.
It was explained that if the whole display is static, the frame rate is just 10 Hz. Upon touchscreen detects tap, the frame rate will increase and it will adjust according to how the screen moves according to the 'inertia' (like the page continues to move after you lift your hand off the screen).
The non-Pro 13 does not have ProMotion yet the battery life is dramatically improved too
