But I had switch off app refresh all the while, no issues with whatsapp or telegram notifications, Strange,
So, if I am not wrong, it only affect the refresh inside the app and push notifications will not be affected.
background app refresh has nothing to do with whether u receive notifications or not..

Settings, mobile data, scroll all the way down, turn OFF wifi assist and monitor. My wifi assist does give me few headaches. Sometime internet was slow and I realized it was switching between wifi and 5G, caused intermittent lost of internet or slow to connect. So, I disabled wifi assist and never encounter any network issues anymore.
Tried but same issue. As mentioned, i use mobile data also encounter same issue, so should not be due to wifi. No issue on my previous iphone 12PM. Thats why i wonder is it due to settings or the new IOS. I have reboot the phone but not really helping. Still need to refresh a few times and it can happen at any of the app store tabs (today, games. apps, arcade or search).

Never encountered this on my 13PM. Did u restored data from 12PM to 13PM or setup as a new phone for 13PM?

I transferred from ip12pm to ip13pm. Not really thinking of resetting up the phone from scratch. This issue happens randomly. can be ok sometimes.

That's what I am suspecting. Major OS differences, might caused some issues?

I occasionally have issue on app store. Keeps having cannot connect to app store error. Only encounter this on IP13PM. Not sure is it due to the new IOS or phone settings. Anyone same?

Wifi or mobile data both same. Need to refresh a few times then ok
I have this issue as well but suspect it’s either due to piHole on home network or AdGuard.
Are you using any kind of blocker software or hardware?

Just want to say, very impressed with this year ip13pro. The screen on time is insane. Managed to hit 8h30m with 22% left on the battery. Hope it last hahaha.

My iphone 11 pro’s battery capacity is at 100% even after 2 years of usage. I bought it on the same day as a friend of mine. His battery is already at 85%, He has the same model except mine is 64gb storage and his is 256gb. I haven’t been particularly careful with my charging, I use anker wireless charger sometimes, and most of the time its plugged in to my macbook even when fully charged. I would expect it to be less than 100% at this point, is this a bug?

I’m running ios 15

Depends on a lot of factors and charging style. Some people got a habit to swipe up every app to close it. That can deteoriate the battery life.

The slower the charging ,the longer it’d be fully charged but battery longevity sure gets longer than the rest
Maybe I shall use laptop to charge, 3mins for 1%

No. More like some have suggested keep it within 20% to 80%

For this, I agreed. I used old slow charger for my 11PM, 12PM and now 13PM. When sold away 11PM and 12PM, the battery health is still at 100% coming a year from launch date.

My charging habit is, by the time when I reached home, normally 2 hours before my bedtime. Regardless how much battery left, I plug in to charge it to 100% then unplug and go to sleep. Morning woke up usually still at 100%. This is somehow my daily charging routine for years and never had an iPhone drop below 100% during annual sell and buy newly launch iPhones.

Sorry but I really don’t understand this obsession over battery life. Not ranting but just trying to understand if I miss anything.

Batteries are expected to deteriorate over time right? If you’re lucky to have good battery life after having the phone for a long time then that’s good.

But if your battery deteriorates there’s always the $99 replacement and it’s FOC if within 1 year warranty. $99 is 5% of the cost of a new phone or even less than 5% if you have higher end/capacity phones. Chances are most here will change phone every 2 years or less costing slightly around $2k (before adding accessories like screen protector, multiple casings) before their battery reaches 80% of original capacity.

So what’s really the issue about battery life? Please enlighten me.

Could be calibration required to report an accurate reading of the device. Calibrate by using the battery down to 5-10% and then charging it to 90-100%.

Also, Apple tends to overreport actual capacity of batteries by a slight margin, my measured percentage on iPhone 11 was 103%.

Able to fetch higher street price and more people willing to buy a 100% battery health phone as compared to 80% when trying to sell it off.
