Actually, its good for me so far. From sleep until morning no charge only drop 3%. Play game and listen to songs during trip to work only drop 15%. My old iphone 4 is 90% to 50-60% for the same trip. :)

new batteries won't reach their peak until a few uses. Just wait a week or so and see.

there are many complains. look at the apple forums. Alot of people are having battery draining fast issues. I am also having this problem. It seems like my usage and standby time are almost the same and there are apps running during standby but i have disabled all the location services and push function.

I think this could be a software issue.

Are you on LTE now? See if you switch to 3G whether will the batt last longer..

The iphone 5 review on Engadget tells a different story. They are praising the battery life of the iphone 5.

On our standard battery rundown test, in which we loop a video with LTE and WiFi enabled and social accounts pinging at regular intervals, the iPhone 5 managed a hugely impressive 11 hours and 15 minutes. That's just 10 minutes shy of the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx.

Maybe you are using it differently.

for those having battery problems, does your phone have almost the same standby time and usage time? That is what's happening to me. My iphone is warm even it is on standby and when i checked the usage on the general tab, the usage time is almost the same as standby time. The battery is draining really fast. Some apps are running in the background but the weird thing is i disabled all the push and location function.

Since i just got out of my hse today at 11am with a 100% full charge until now, 35% is gone. And this is only by using minimal texting on whatsapp and 1 phone call.

LTE

It's CTE or PIE, it's LTE.... Was out in east yesterday using 3G mostly, GPS etc and had 64% in afternoon. Today in the office where LTE signal is very strong, at 3pm, battery left with 15%...looks like LTE is the culprit. Turn it off to see if it will make a difference.

Do you guys find the phone warm after some usage, like 10-15mins.
I don't experience that with Iph4s
