One thing I noticed, don't know if anyone have had the same experience.

Like many I was happy with battery life. That is until one day I was stranded in a place where presumably the base-stations were overloaded, and I couldn't load anything from the internet. Reception was poor as well. Reassuring myself it's just Singtel's ****ty network, I kept trying to forcefully load my webpages. Results? Battery drained like mad.

I am guessing reception and how hard your phone is working to retrieve the data matters.

yeah

battery is good if reception is good..

Apple - Batteries

Most lithium-ion polymer batteries use a fast charge to charge your device to 80% battery capacity, then switch to trickle charging. That’s about two hours of charge time to power an iPod to 80% capacity, then another two hours to fully charge it, if you are not using the iPod while charging. You can charge all lithium-ion batteries a large but finite number of times, as defined by charge cycle.

Saw this on apple website. Does it mean we must charge the batteries for 4 hours? My iphone only take about 2 hours to go from 0 to 100%. Need to let it wait 4 hours according to apple?

In areas with extremely bad / congested 3G reception.. i suggest just disabling Cellular data to save your battery. In such areas the batt will drop super fast.

Sometimes its not about the battery / device... its the signal.

Heh i was once in a place where i had only 2 bars and no 3G just GPRS, battery was draining so freaking fast, so i just turned off mobile data.

Anyway. on a normal day now, my phone usually can last me till around 10pm at night before shutting down.

i guess plug icon means the battery is fully charged.

u don't have to charge ur batt to 100% everytime since the batt is lithium-ion polymer batteries

Anyone managed to get a replacement from Singtel? What are the procedures like?

My iPhone battery life is bad, normal usage is only 5 hours plus the bedt, most of the times only getting 3 to 4 hours.

Already did restore new, reset settings, turn off push, let, brightness 30%

I think if ur on 3G/LTE, 5.5hours of usage hours seems normal.

I doubt so, they just begin testing it.

Also since the upcoming ipads are shipping with iOS6, which company would launch a product with an outdated OS installed. Likely to be an week or more after. :(

Read the article regarding 6.0.1, no mention about battery drain issues at all.

My average use on sh is about 5.5hours usage. Standby is about 24 hours. Must I go for 1 for 1 xchange. Is my set a spoilt one?

Here is a simple way to test your battery life.

1. Charge 100% and unplug charger before you go to sleep.

2. Turn on airplane mode and close all background apps. Make sure no location services is active. Notification should be ok since there is no data.

3. Go to sleep

4. Check you battery life the next morning when you wake up.

If it is still 100%, your battery is good.

All my iphones from 4 to 5 all behave this way.
