For those who plan to buy from Qoo10 from the seller in this link (not the person who posted this), just sharing my experience

1) Took 10 days from ordering to receiving item (normal mail)
2) Main item, the lightning cable wasn't inside, only the other accessories
3) I put in a "Cancel/Refund" on Qoo10, seller said in order to resend missing item, I have to remove the "Cancel/Refund" request from Qoo. Resend would also be 21 days after date of original order. Problem is if I remove the official cancel request on Q10 and click on Confirm delivery, seller gets the full amount from Qoo and basically you're at her/his mercy if the missing item would be sent, and only after 21 days!
4) Seller suggested I get refund from Qoo and return the sent items back to her. So I paid the cost of mail and have to foot the mail cost back to her?! yes it's only $1 in total.

Buy from a physical shop/original and save yourself the odd chance of this nonsensical problem.

Ordered a batch from DX, and Gmarket, both okay, except DX ones are thicker in the head, had to use penknife to shave off a bit and managed to squeeze into my SwitchEasy Tones.

Gmarket ones can work directly no mod needed. Now got special price, think $3.49?

Been unlucky with compatible cables.

Bought 1 from Jb for Rm38 when originals OOS.

Bought another in SG For $6.90.

Both lasted me less than 2 weeks of usage.

How come? :s11:

The one from JB just unable to charge after using it for 2 Tried fiddling with the cables but still can't charge.

The one I bought from raffles link for $6.90 wiring loosen.
Need to find the right spot then can charge...

Hate the fact I need to go back to originals.

I believe I'm one of the very few who has no luck with compatibles this time.

no it's not...advise you to buy original cable..
everyone is taking a risk..including me.. :)
I'm asking like seriously.
Is it safe? Like who don't know we're risking.
There's no problem with 3rd party cables for the older iPhones & iPods/iPads before lightning cable was introduced. There's articles about the compatible lightning cable cooking iPhones something like that, so for those who have already been using it, what's the percentage of "safe"? Any problems with charging or data transfers?

Trusted 3rd party cable to me is from Griffin. You may want to take a look here. I hear a lot of people complain the ones sell from Qoo10 got a poor workmanship. That will definitely cook your iphone.

better to get the original then those chiong one. not too sure if Apple decide to update the firmware to disable those chiong cables and accessories still can use or not plus the lightning head of those chiong one looks a bit low quality and also not too sure if it can even crush pins inside the device.

just my 2 cents anyway.
