To be fair AASPs won't know if it is brand new, they may have been told that it's brand new. If you want Model with "MN" you can only get it if you exchange within 14 days if you bought from Apple Store.

when did you order...? how come you are getting a week 35 phone?

I order ip7+ 256 rg... ordered on 10oct and receieved on 13 oct... lol. Then when they mail me the invoice i check the sn... week 35. But if the phone ok, i dont mind. But phone deliver, do check and the phone had a lot of issues.... sigh. Call cso, girl was very nice, arrange pick up for me. And process to send a new retail one back. So we will see how it goes~

the week 35 just shows the supply demand for RG this year is not as high as Apple expect. Yea, the best thing of buying direct is the 14 days exchange/refund policy.

Maybe lor. My black is week 40. Very excellent. Except for notification issue, there is white lines and rectangle / square like glitch. But gg to setting to reduce thr contrast then wont have already. And the phone calls also ok. Other party can hear me i also can hear them. Although if like the phone away from my ear from the back i can hear what the IVR talking... but its fine. Canera sometimes hang like 5 second before can take picture. Other than that no hissing. No coilwhine.... a bit of like cpu fan sound but cant hear one unless you rly press ear onto logo and close another ear.

Hope the new rg will be ok. Praying hard...

Got one from apple.sg and have more than just hissing issue. Apple arranging pick up and resend new retail set. Once i receive it... somewhere around next week.. i will update again. Anyway. If still have i can get it exchange again. But hope not.... quite tiresome. But telco set then impossible le.

So far from what we observe, new devices from week 40 seems to have no hissing anymore. I would say it's safe to buy already, but also keep in mind that you can receive old stock also like what bro jaccc received, I believe if you going for either blacks, stocks would be relatively new though

Just went down A.Lab and got a replacement device because the one Apple sent me was wrong colour so they set up for me a replacement at A.Lab. Phone was manufactured early August and has no issues. No hissing or video playback or call issues at all. I think Apple's service replacement phones have been modified to fix these issues. But phone is brand new

Apple send you wrong color u can call the customer service hotline and get them to pick up from your address and they will mail you a new set.

They sent me wrong colour, sent it back, they send me second set which is silver AGAIN. Apple said their warehouse got issue so they ask me go A.Lab. They provided me new replacement phone, not retail set. New but without box and no issues so I don't care about SN, as long as my device is good.

Weirdly, I read that someone has a "F" model number already. F aka Refurbish.
