I have 2 jet blacks telco set, one is week 40 and the other is week 41 and all have no hissgate issues after testing with Google Octane.

What is thr app name? Search from google store, google octane?

Yes. Google Octane. Then run the test to detect for hissing or coil whine sounds.

Just went down A.Lab and got a replacement device because the one Apple sent me was wrong colour so they set up for me a replacement at A.Lab. Phone was manufactured early August and has no issues. No hissing or video playback or call issues at all. I think Apple's service replacement phones have been modified to fix these issues. But phone is brand new

I went down to ALab yesterday and was told no stock. 3-5 business days for them to send the set to me.

They didn't take the box from me so confirm is giving me a refurb set

Its a replacement phone but not refurbished don't worry. It is a new phone without box. Serial number will start with M. Refurbished sets start with F

Ah **** my bad. Retail unit is M, Replacement is N and Refurbished is F. I have a replacement unit and it has no issues so I am happy. I don't understand why people spend so much and all they worry about is the imei matching their box lol

yea, most important thing is that the phone performs without any issue. some people feel that it may affect resell value while some others just wants it to match, will feel "gao wei" otherwise.

Normally only week 40 onwards won't have issue. Hope this 38 one no issues~ DHL picking up spoil phone on Monday. Will update again on the week 38 phone

You did the Express Replacement Program? Is ther any charges for that? How's the procedure to raise the request with Apple?

Not very sure if mine counts as ERS, but no I did not get charged. I bought mine from Apple and contacted Apple Online Sales Support. Started the support from online chat as I wanted to attach pictures of my issue.

Yours wasn't an ERS replacement, your case is clearly a 14 day exchange

ERS is free for people who had AppleCare+ and cost about $40 (tbc) for people without AppleCare+. To activate ERS, you have to call in to Apple to activate it. AASPs don't deal with ERS

Hiss sound most obvious

When u run re download of 20-40 apps working the phone hard

Audible when u hear it by the apple logo behind without any covers or when u record videos n playback

btw how does the sndeep work? they have insider in apple leaking info?

I can hear some very very faint tseeeeeeeee tsseee tssssseeee sound on and off when running 3d mark and the phone presssed with the apple logo flush against my ear. it sounds like ringing sometimes also, dont know if its my perception problem or really like that.

actually, i think the phone on standby also can hear very faint sound. i think...

tried video recording at 4k, 720p and recording using my ip6 and transfer to my ip7 via airdrop to play. All three videos have the same baseline white noise. can't hear any hissing.
mine's a ip7 jet black though. seems like this problem more obvious in ip7+? it doesn't bother me at all, think i will not exchange because of this.

maybe half or nearly a year down the road, when my phone is scratched until jialat jialat then use this excuse to change for a new-looking set
