How to differentiate hissing sound and white noise?

*OK I have googled and listened to one on YouTube of white noise.

So second replacement came from apple... week 38. Even worse the coilwhine hissing sound. Even when the phone is like just at home screen. The sound so loud. Record video and even talking. Sigh... hope the 3rd one apple send reslly bo issues. The cso rly very nice. Now waiting dhl come collect the phone

I think I just realized when I take video can hear the hiss sound lol.. But not that loud

U hear this. This is what hiss will sound like on video. Cos i cant attach video. Mine the hiss is even worse than this.

Exactly this. Checking the week of the phone is not accurate. I have a week 38 phone too which has zero issues except a very soft hissing noise when u stick to ur ears

Think all this depend on luck.. like my is 38 weeks also no problem.

White noise is higher than my 6s and likely due to a more sensitive mic.

Tried testing against my other iPhone 7 (not plus) also get a fair bit of white noise.

my current set is the same as ur previous set.
even if nth is running. jus the screen on can hear the sound.

at first tot of dun need bother to change.
but nowadays i feel that the phone get heat up even if i not using it.

so mayb will go change liao.

I booked an appointment but I lodged the case earlier with Singtel, then Apple technical helpline and then was handled by an apple iOS specialist located in Bay Area.. Was given a ticket number and he also emailed me directly with his contacts in case I cannot change my set.

Anyway i just ran octane2.0 and there was almost no hissing except a very very faint one or two when start.

Yes then shldnt be a problem. Only when your phone sound like that or worse than this then it's very bad alr. Cos video / calls all can hear. And this will also cos phone to heat easily! Glad yours doesnt have this issue!

i got my replacement from QCD for my hiss sound unit (Iphone 7 plus). The replacement also have same hiss sound issue.

And they said test with 3rd - party app (3D mark) is not accepted. even got sound LOL WTH.

So, i tested with ALL "STOCK" app that totally can't make CPU in stress load state.
Eventually, no hiss sound and i have to accept the replacement.

So, guys i need to make another appointment try on ALAB?

Due to super loud hissing/coil even if I on the screen to check the timing, which comes with 3 dots on screen and 3 dots at the back. Hahaha.

Without appointment, so waited for 3.5hrs to get everything done.

Now replacement set with model NN at the front, but week 35, no more hissing sound, completely silent.

Don't need to be so concerned about the week as Long as it's working fine without issues.

Manufacturing week doesn't really matter cause not 100% of week 39 and before have hiss.
