iPhone X problems faced

Did anyone noticed that the iPhone X camera failed to reflect the same color as the actual object. For example, if you have a turquoise color, under the iPhone X, it shows blue. Likewise for some other colors. My friend Note 8 was able to capture the exact colour even though both are OLED screen. I brought the phone down to Apple Centre and talked to the adviser and even bring the turquoise shirt along to show them. They couldn't explain. Just keep saying it is the OLED feature. We moved on to those display sets and found out inconsistency in each display set. In the end, I decided to get a refund because I cant accept paying so much to get a phone that cant even take a picture that reflect the actual color of the object. Although i have to admit that throughout the discussion the apple staff was very professional. I will wait for their next upgrade and hopefully they do a better job. Other than the camera, i must say the rest of features were very good.

Sometimes.... it's the person's eye got color deficiency. some people is color blind.

and iphone x is a great phone. for taking photos. i use note 8 and iphone 8 plus.

iphone x is only for sms and phone call. so far no lag.

iphone 8plus has a data sim card.

note 8 has all my documents like pdf files, microsoft format files and movies.

Charged the X to 100% last night at 10pm. This morning work up at 7am and found the battery level to be at 93%. BT and Wifi is offed. Battery drainage is fast again

Was once encountered by you. Did you check if your whatsapp back up is off? Or any back up

After i set my whatsapp auto back up to once a month. The next day i monitor my battery were from 100% to 98% since 10pm to 6am.

Yup shouldn't be a problem as long as it is within 14 days upon receiving it for returning it.

anyone using full screen protector and have dust accumulating at the notch lens area? Will it affect the facial recognition? Because I have some misses occasionally.

I'm having some issues also, every once in awhile face id stops working and I have to restart the phone and everything is back to normal.

I'm not sure if it's due to dust at the notch lens or software issue. On 11.2 currently

for me battery was ok. Sms and what apps notifications sometimes doesn't ring. I don't know why but I take it as small issue. Its the camera that i cant accept it.

Yes, you can. Just make an appt with the Genius bar and bring all your iPhone x accessories with you. I heard there are quite a nos of returns due numerous reasons..

I fully agreed. Besides camera, iPhone x is a great phone. The note 8 definitely has been photos. I saw it during my holiday. Me and my friend took similar pictures under different lightings... For evening and night, note 8 is so much better. Day time, the iPhone X has a slight edge.

After transferring all my data from iPhone 7 to X, I’m unable to get the POSB/ DBS app to auto fill my login details and use Face ID to login..

Need to keep manually typing my ID and PW each time I restart the app now. Anyone know how to activate face id for the app?

I remember reading a static discharge problem while charging. Was there someone with such issue?
Cos my case is rubber so never felt it but I just touched the silent toggle and got a ‘mild shock’
Should I be worried?

Edit: hmm, googled and read it’s ‘normal’ even for previous versions of iPhone. Should be grounding issue. Maybe the plug, I was using the Anker. Next time I’ll use another plug and see how is it

This thing has been discussed until stale Liao...

It’s normal for all aluminium enclosure devices including MacBooks and previous versions of iPhones. You can also feel it on op2 and other metallic phones. It’s nothing dangerous but just a weird feeling. If you want to remove it totally, you can place the device on something else metallic. Eg on a sheet of aluminium foil then the leakage current will be transferred there.

It’s also a reason why metallic phones do not have wireless charging as well, and that you can’t put metallic objects on wireless charging plates..

Did you try transferring out to a computer for viewing? Could be TrueTone messing with the display colour.

Yes, try everything because I really like the phone and was hoping somehow it can be resolved. Unfortunately, it didn't. The Apple advisors also failed to resolve the issue but just keep saying it's the OLED technology. I suspect it is a batch problem (maybe the camera module).

Anyway, this only happen on certain colors such as turquoise, grey, magenta, beige. RGB, white and black seems ok though. Low lighting pictures are not too good. Hopefully, the next upgrade would be better. I have no issues with other features.. Very sad !!!!

Go settings/personalization change and toggle Face ID on

Remove your attention from it. Stop wasting time on superficial scratches. If you bought AppleCare+

change your phone before the warranty ends. cheaper than you constantly having to care about that scratch.

If it’s the bottom part... don bother about it. It’s not really scratch scratches. It’s the polished surface wear off.
