My screen is quite yellowish...a lot of people is saying its normal for OLED screens but its quite annoying for me. Face ID is flawless for me so far and i got used to the gestures right away, i dont miss the home button at all.

What's the best way to wipe iPhone so that the next user can't try and retrieve your old data or info? Is the standard wipe and erase enough?

Yes it is.. Just remember to remove your Apple ID first before wiping else device protection will prevent the next user from setting it up without your Apple ID Password

Store it half-charged when you store it long term.
If you want to store your device long term, two key factors will affect the overall health of your battery: the environmental temperature and the percentage of charge on the battery when it’s powered down for storage. Therefore, we recommend the following:

Do not fully charge or fully discharge your device’s battery — charge it to around 50%. If you store a device when its battery is fully discharged, the battery could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding a charge. Conversely, if you store it fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may lose some capacity, leading to shorter battery life.
Power down the device to avoid additional battery use.
Place your device in a cool, moisture-free environment that’s less than 90° F (32° C).
If you plan to store your device for longer than six months, charge it to 50% every six months.
Depending on how long you store your device, it may be in a low-battery state when you remove it from long-term storage. After it’s removed from storage, it may require 20 minutes of charging with the original adapter before you can use it.

I dont quite understand, can someone explain it in a simpler form?

Long Term storage is when you really are not going to use the device for a long time like longer than six months.
  • Keep it around half charged(50%) before storing it away.
  • Power it down before storing
  • Do not expose it to high temperature while storage

normally how do u all charged your iphone? like below how many % you all start to charge?

I charge as and whenever I want to, even if it has 80% batt still. In the office, I place it to charge when I reach and after lunch.

You buy a phone is to use it, not worry about this and that. Use it to your own liking is the most important part.

by enabling tap to wake, the battery life will take a hit as the sensor will need to be on all the time for touch/tap sensitivity

Tap to wake isn't a new feature on the phones but it's the first for iphone. Tap to wake on android doesn't eat battery at all. The most <2% diff.

Unless apple is coding wrong somewhere, that's why you see battery life taking a hit when u tap to wake.

Of cos, i'm comparing 2 diff source code here, but the feature are the same.

Ok I'm not assuming anything. If you have Lift to Wake on, lifting the phone will already on it. Pressing the side button will off it back.

But if this is not the case for you - best to bring it back to apple shop.

Is this an opinion, or actual run tests, or personal everyday usage experience?

Because I'm using it with the tap to wake every day - and I'm getting almost the same battery life as my iphone 7plus.

If I know Apple products - they will make full use of all sensors on the phone (accelerometer, proximity sensor, 3D touch, IR, optical camera) - to know even if the phone is in your pocket, or you are holding in your hand and tapping it.

When I was using Android phones - one of the pet peeves was always finding my phone had accidentally turned on the torchlight in my pocket and I found out only when I felt the heat up phone.

This has never happened in the iPhone.
