After being a Singtel subscriber for almost 20 years, doubt they will do these things for free. Singtel will take any opportunity to earn as much from you.

I guess now the question is jnot whether Singtel will charge as I assume they will , but rather when ??? M1 made it available since 6th December and there are no signs of Singtel doing it anytime soon

I don’t think esim will be free for singtel, but on launch they might have a promo for free esim for those new sign up maybe? I would predict the price for esim will still linger for all telcos just like caller id.. but no one knows the exact thing until singtel launches..

I believe it behaves like a normal/physical SIM card.

No, but esim can still work with multi sim, meaning to say one esim + physical Sim(s). Monthly multi sim charges applies.

You need to be on ios 12.1 at least to enable esim. 12.1.1 or later for M1 support
