Dear All,
I had just gotten a iPhone XS Max yesterday but I can’t find the cellular option in the Settings menu to add the Esim.

Can somebody please share with me whether on how to add an Esim?

Regards

Look under mobile data instead for iOS 12.1.1 or later.

For those people who got it waived, mind sharing what did y’all say to get it waived?

Just called M1 and ask if they can waive. The customer service officer I spoke to said she can waive because I have not requested for another sim card for the pass year. However if I request for a change after this, I will be charged.

Called m1 and was told I have to pay $30+ to change to esim, but the CSO refused to comment if data roaming works in Indo/Thai/Philippines/Vietnam.

Just checking... Anyone can confirm it works for the above 4 countries? :)

eSIM and a physical SIM are exactly the same from a services standpoint. You should be able to use roaming as normal. You can also get a physical local SIM in those countries, and use it for data if you like.

Shocked at how little the CSOs know.

honestly i have been trying to be patient, am I the only one that find Singtel is taking way way too long in offering esim service?

One of the few reasons i dont mind paying Singtel more for its service is for its quality of network and being speedy in adopting new technologies, i.e. applewatch's esim etc etc.

But this round, of waiting for iphone esim has been excruciatingly slow. someone up there slacking? or there are some technological limitations?

Pardon my rant! :(

The technology is already there since M1 can do it.

Their current logo (5 round thingy on top) should tell you why they still not offering it.

Not sure about always being the first to adopt new technologies, but being a user of both networks, I don't find M1 any inferior. ;)

Interesting thought on the logo, that I went to take another look... "Wait for more moons to pass."? =:p

my personal experience differs a bit not that it’s any significant difference. Anyway just some info from IMDA https://www.imda.gov.sg/industry-development/facts-and-figures/4g-service-monitoring/4g-measurement-survey-results-for-q3-2018

End of the day depends on who go where and their habits. For me I gottta run around a fair bit. Sorry off topic. It’s supposed to be esim

I have long given up hope. I am getting vibes that SingTel is not going to offer esim until the next iPhone release.

I guess at some point not singtel dont want to sell. Just that exclusive rights given to M1...?
Just like the first iphone selling locally or apple watch, if not wrong, also only singtel is selling...
