Paying $1~2 is affordable. Here in sg, i think they will charge $30+.

Your can have both if you're willing to pay. The service is called multi-sim@$10.70/mth

In a way yes. If you go Esim, mean you are left with a empty sim tray. Which mean you can go for other telcos beside them.

So i do think this is one of the reason.

Last I read, Maxis eSIM support was only for postpaid plans, not for prepaid ones. So I don't think they're for tourist SIM as it's even shorter term (usage) than their prepaid SIM...

Thailand 3 telcos started by offering eSIM for post paid plans only but now they are also offering for tourist sim aka pre paid.

Still find it amusing that SG M1, MY Maxis and TH AIS, True and DTac have surpassed Singtel in offering eSim to their customers

My contract ending in a few months and will just vote with my actions to switch telcos then. Singtel is taking its time as they know many of us are stuck with 2 years contracts and can’t switch yet

Thailand all telcos avail on prepaid e sim

I am flying to Taipei mid March, I know there are few telcos that offer eSim but not sure if it’s only for post paid only
