a 100w newstar transformer cost abt $25 at homefix. get a 100w & above transformer.

i think 60W is enough already, the scooba charger only consumes 45W of power. the 60W transformer is only $11 at SLT and its much smaller. anyway, i bought the 80w one before the scooba arrived.

100W is max lar. in case you need to connect a bigger one lar....it won't run at 100W if your device is only taking 45W.

btw, sunsetbay, how much did you pay for your scooba? model 350 iziit?

because i saw some forums + homefix staff told me that those tranformers only run more than 50% efficiency.

Many of these transformers have overrated specs & some not designed for 24/7 operation, especially at their actual max rating. Excessive heat may cause the thermal shutdown. There's also the Qs of stable supply at the extreme capacity. I wouldnt risk my bots, remember PENNY WISE POUND FOOLISH and IMO, little $$ savings hardly justifies it.

i'd tried my scooba earlier again after another few hrs charged, can run 1 full cycle cleaning. i discontinue after clearing the dirty water. think its working fine now.

i heard some states got taxes. Do you guys got extra taxes while purchasing anything from the online stores and ship via vpost/comgateway?

hsn is selling brand new ones.

hsn only shipped domestic in usa, so you will need to send to vpostusa or comgateway usa address.

hsbc 1kg discount applies to the shipment between usa and sg. Not sure whether it's still valid.

for hsn.com billing address, i think you need some tricks, else payment by sg credit card will be rejected

I had tried to use vpost address when buying with irobot store, but the order got cancelled after that.

you would have to try yr luck with hsn.com as some did not have success ordering with them.

better check or re-charge the battery, my 535 runs for >2hrs.

Do you use lighthouse? Cos I never use lighthouse and it seems to randomly go to any room and last for only 45 - 55min.

I use lighthouse. Also used it in virtual wall mode to keep it in the living room and it ran for that long.

I've had rattling noise and vibration on my Roomba 535, especially on wooden flooring when it is very obvious. After a few emails exchanged with iRobot customer support, they're sending me a new brush. Not sure shipping just one brush will cost me how much from vpost.. ??

should be same, battery life mah. The layout of my place means I will use it in either VW or VLH mode everytime. in fact using VLH I find that it goes back to charge earlier when not fully depleted yet.

Cos from what I read is the irobot will calculate the area to be cover and took about 45min to cover the whole room.
NVM i will monitor again.

quite true, if use VLH, it takes abt 35-40 mins before moving to next area, another 35-40 mins. That's why go back to charge earlier I guess. But I've run it once with virtual wall mode and it kept on going and going for the full duration of the battery.
