Wait blurr liao... 350 is the newer better one? :s11:

1. 5900 - oldest
2. 5800 - next oldest
3. 350/380 - used sold by irobot store only
4. 335/340 - special tailor made exculsive for certain retailors.

Performance wise, i think 335 = 350 and 340 = 380. External difference is the metal latch/catch used for 5800s, 5900s, 335s and 340s. The 350 and 380 models use plastic instead. Also there is a difference in colour between the 2 groups. Price diff is of course a huge gap! :s11:

Maybe they have some marketing staff with a Phd in cheemology?!!! :s22: Just like the Roomba series, it used to be easily identified with the Red, Discovery and Scheduler. Next they pile on Sage (different colours), Pet series, 400 and then moving on to the 500 series. Maybe this is to cater for different market/segment and also makes price comparison tougher? :s8:

It is already expensive even when we order from US, can u imagine those paying S$1xxx buying from the local iRobot retailer??:s22:

Speaking of Scooba, anyone managed to sucessfully place an order for a Scooba from HSN recently?

Think all those forwarding addresses in US are blacklisted by HSN already. :s22: Used a newer Vpost shipping address and my order was processed. Even sent me an order confirmation email with expected arrival date. Next thing, order was simply ignored. :s27:

aiyo, Roomba can't make your living room clean meh? you will regret if you just want to buy Scooba for "cleaning" the floor....Roomba come first, then follow by Scooba.

i got my scooba 350 from amazon too at that promo.

its not as independant as roomba and provided the vacuuming was done b4 running scooba, the squeky clean juz mopped floor feeling only comes with the scooba.

on another note, the maintainance is much much easier. brush and filter is easily removed to be washed. no dust or hair being stuck in gearbox worries.

in SG, I really doubt we need to worry about the gearbox problem. I dismantle mine, the gearbox was in perfect condition. :s22:

base on my experience with Scooba, hair and dust will still stuck in the brush of your Scooba if you do not do vacuum properly. Like that really pointless liaoz lor.....without an automated Roomba in place, you're working for the Scooba instead the other way round.... :s22:

but, it's your choice.....:s22: I opt for trouble-free home maintenance :D
