A Warning to all who tried to buy Irobot from eBay:

I tried to claim my warranty from Irobot, this is what they reply:

We do apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, any product purchased via eBay does not carry a manufacturer's warranty. If the seller states the product is guaranteed that is incorrect. We consider eBay purchases third party, which is stated specifically in our written warranty.

There are many ebay listings for iRobot which states got warranty, dont be fool.

Oh, i was trying my luck but failed. But HSN and Woot shld be safe.

Sigh... why u tell them u purchased from Ebay??! Just fill in online merchant like Amazon or Woot (but make sure that these merchants did sell yr model b4).

If i knew earlier, I wont even put eBay. Anyway, if they required receipt or invoice, we also doomed.

Now, i refrain from buying Irobot from eBay. Why buy fr eBay when you can get a good if not better deal from HSN like mosmos.

My 2x560 finally reach vpost after much tracking...cos it was lost for a while...my "extra" 560 also arrives yesterday via UPS to Vpost...I guess will be doing a WTS soon...

Oh, i 1st time clean after almost a year! not that bad, imo.

Fun right?? Practise makes perfect, after a few times, it becomes a piece of cake to disassemble and re-assemble Roomba!

the bin become very tight after i re assemble back..
disassemble 2 roomba .. both oso like tat.

I got mine (Scooba) from ebay about a year back. When registering with Irobot, I put in "gift". Maybe you could try that.

Never encountered this issue b4. Was yr bin ever dismantled. Suggest u check the fittings when puting back, never force... the clips should snap in place... else alignment may be out.

dun see anything wrong anywhere. everything fit back nicely. but when slotting back the bin, can feel its very tight. bit everything still work.
yes i did dismantle my bin. but dun tink its the problem. cos got this tight feeling even b4 i disassemble the roomba.

never dare to open up, i always use a small long brush thru opening holes, to brush dust out yellow area.

Ah ha... so u've dismantled yr bin b4 eh? Well, i faced the same problem b4. I took apart the bin and found the cause. There's the section of the impeller housing that u close in snuggly with the cover. Sometimes the !@#$@ electrical cable to the motor may get in the way. If u r not careful, the bin can still be reassembled but u'll find it tight to fit the bin into the bot later on.
