Many always get excited discussing about "JB petrol price"....
Started with their experience of this and that...but so?
Everyone has their own lifestyle etc etc so why bother to explain so much?

Anyway back to such question again;
'Is JB Petrol Really Cheaper??'

Official Petrol Price Malaysia (RON95, RON97 & Diesel) price is announced by government on every Friday !
Official Petrol Price Malaysia for 2 -8 March 2019 :

RON95 : RM2.08 (No Change)

RON97 : RM2.43 (Up RM0.05)

Diesel : RM2.18 (No Change)

Don't think I need to convert this back to Sgd to show that Malaysia's fuel price is cheaper?

Assuming 35 litre @ $2.38 (msia) = $83 + $20 + $3 = $106/3 = $35 + $1 = $36
Tuas peak = $36 + $8 = $44
Tuas off peak = $36 + $3 = $39
Tuas peak & off peak = 36 + $5.60 = $41.60
Assuming 35 litre @ $2.21 (Spore) = $77 @ 83% = $76 - $3 = $73 - $1.4 (35litre x $0.04) = $72

83% instant discount, $3 for additional $7 for net $180 spent and $1.40 for $30 for 750 smile points.

Nice this is the math i'm looking for, although abit confusing last sentence

No no, I dislike followers. My post should not be construed to get followers as unique as me.

In fact, I strongly urge as many as possible drivers to drive to JB to spend their time there, preferrably to stay there as well.

depends on how much time u can commit.

those who stay in east. don't bother. the time travel in and out not worth it at all. just be light footed and get a fuel economy car.

those who stay in west or north/NE, depends on your availability.. sometimes late in the night i will just go in pump, massage and come back.

Make sure tank at least 50% before going in.

Very sui couple weeks ago kena fined for going in with one quarter at Tuas checkpoint. Spot check at 7pm Sat :') Maybe car too flashy colour.

This is jap car tank size. Conti tank can hit $130 to $150 sgd on full tank. If rm, someone do the math

ok will make an attempt.

sg petrol (98), MY (97) for 70L and will take half tank (35L) since that's the safe entry past customs limit.

SG is 35 x 2.49 = 87 sgd. 15% discount = 73 sgd

MY is 35 x 2.46 = 86 RM = 28 sgd

Savings is $45 - $15 (toll?) = $30

fill petrol 4 times a month = $120 savings. One year is almost 1.5k savings. can cover road tax.

yea, i was counting conservatively. not to forget grocery shopping, especially when buy diapers and milk powder.

and if it's a 1.6L road tax, the petrol savings alone covers both tax and insurance. so i think it's quite worth it, even if u don't live near the customs.

Avg/good fc plus avg usage, i wont go in
For phv they have high usage, usually 1 tank 2 days usage
They go in worth it

If calculate wash car, its 10rm inside, wash and vacuum

Agreed that PHV high usage.... Have to consider the time in/out also for phv. This means loss of possible income too...

Apart from the car wash, decent sea food dinner at air con restn saves another 50% and for those with babies, diapers and formula savings.

Go in midnight during rest hours then don't lose money

I travel quite a bit regionally. To msia at least 20 times a year, for both pleasure but mostly biz.

To those who feel there's no savings, eat too full, waste time la, custom n kastam jam la, will kena rob n rape la, sg petrol cheaper n better qualitee, sg food better, blah blah blah...

YES U R RIGHT. So please don't go. Else everyone can only wish that u get robbed, raped and ripped off big time.
